Just a quick note on Brake Force Factor in iRacing. Those with a keen eye may have noticed Tom still had this set to 1.8 while he was calibrating the pedals and didn’t include setting this to 0 in the edit. Force factor should always be set to 0 for load cell or pressure based pedals.

@Jonas Jonaitis I generally recommend limiting it in the wheel software to the maximum you ever want to feel, then using the auto tune feature in iracing, then fine tuning to preference from there so clipping is only occuring when you hit walls, etc. Limiting it in the game and then cranking the wheel software to 100% tends to lead to a low dynamic range signal being amplified which can make the wheel feel robotic. Better to let the game output the full dynamic range (or at least up to the point but not past the point of clipping), then scale it using the wheel software. There are different schools of thought of course though. That's just what I find works best for me and gives the most consistent feel.

There are a number of channels that get opportunities to review expensive equipment, this channel is one of the very few that give an honest review. It's refreshing to see! I also got into sim racing after randomly getting recommended one of your videos, so thank you!

Another valuable review from you both Will and Tom, thank you for doing the hard work for us potential consumers! Interesting to see the promise of these pedals from Another Way (on a side note, what a brand name in English 😅), but crucial to see that there are refinements needed to improve the product further
@boostedmedia3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. Nothing here that can’t be refined I don’t think. The design isn’t fundamentally broken, just quite “first-Gen”.

Really nice review thanks and I really enjoy having two opinions as well, you get far more info out of people discussing something than one reviewer hitting a bullet list of points. Keep it up guys!

Great review Will. So many different sim racing companies and products coming out lately, very random. Just bought the Simagic P2000 hydraulic pedals that just came out. very excited about them but these look pretty interesting.

So it looks as if all the negatives you mentioned in the review have been dealt with lol. 😁 You basically did their job for them in quality control and testing. The bump stops have been upgraded, the mounting holes have been elongated, the springs seem to have been changed to flatter springs that as far as I can see will allow for a lot less bending under tension. The base plate has now been split in two, making it a lot stiffer as well. And there is now a completely new v2 controller with a much bigger screen. And guess what? You can now map up to 5 different set ups lol, which you can enter on the fly. Good going guys. People really listen to you. 👍

Great review! Just one thing: Stainless steel or non-stainless steel makes no difference in stiffness (most stainless steels are even insignificantly less stiff compared to non-stainless). Probably you just mentioned the material difference right before the stiffness issue without causal relationship but I just want to go sure things don't get mixed up. You correctly mention material thickness and addition of bars as possible solutions. Once again, great review - keep it up! :)

Yes I was just highlighting that it’s a different material.

780 Euros for the 3 pedal set? Not bad I was expecting a lot more. I'll have to watch the full review when I get time. Thanks.

On my airsoft gun the spring seat sits on a bearing so that the seat rotates along with the spring as it compresses. Perhaps a similar solution would work on these pedals?

Awesome Will and Tom. A query if I may? Around the 40 minute mark when Tom is finishing off the calibration, isnt Tom checking the clutch but it's showing as the throttle on screen? Look great but at this price point the pedal plate is sub standard and the controller box to change the curve would be so brilliant but ultimately flawed as no way to save profiles and load quickly. Great video guys. I look forward to your next one.

The company should really take this review and make the recommended adjustments in quality of their product. If they don't, for some reason, they will most likely hinder their profit potential as "the buzz" spreads.

just get some angle iron and weld in through the middle and itll reinforce the plate alot for very little

LOL these are a total rip off of the original ARC Carbon pedals! I have two sets of ARC Carbon and they are Italian art. I am still using them 11 years later. Check out old pictures online of the ARC Carbons, they used air and are built like absolute tanks and are beautiful.
