As a SAHM as well, I struggled and still at times struggle with the same feelings as you. I commend you for the sacrifices that you’ve made for your son. You’re an amazing mom never doubt that . And remember this season as many others have will soon pass. Give yourself grace for what you are feeling and never underestimate the power of prayer. Sharing your experience is helping so many women. Hang in there sis!

Fresh air outside, sunlight, light stroll outside helps me! I try not to do everything at once, some things can wait.

Shout out to all the new moms during this pandemic. Please give yourself grace. I suffered from Postpartum Depression and I ended up going to therapy. Through my sessions I learned that being a SAHM was not for me. It's the hardest job ever. I noticed you said that your husband worked all day and you wanted things to be right at home. Raising a child is a full time job too so don't think his job is more demanding than yours. Also right now being a SAHM can be isolating because of this pandemic and the outside supports (playgroups, parenting groups, ect) may not be an option right now. Do what is best for you. Im glad to hear that you are asking for more help. Getting him on the bottle will probably help a lot but that doesn't mean it's the end of your breastfeeding journey if you don't want it to be (I pumped for 23 months). Im rooting for you and praying for you,

Thank you so much for your encouragement and prayers! You're absolutely right sometimes you just have to be honest and know what is for you and not. I appreciate you being transparent about your journey ❤️

SAHM is definitely hard. Reach out for help when needed. I know I am posting several months later and baby boy has grown but your feelings are real. Self soothing is good and stop putting yourself down. Love the hair color.

Thank you so much Brenda. It truly was difficult when he was smaller ... sometimes he tries to bring it back but he has grown and matured more which makes it easier for me. ❤️

Girllll NO TIME! I get it. Some days are definitely harder than others. It's like either work, sleep, clean or self care while baby is napping. Something is going to be left undone

Be kind to yourself… being a mom is not easy but lean on your support system and embrace the imperfections.. there is beauty in imperfections . I’ve let go of needing to be perfect in everything and it’s so liberating

One thing I do when depression strikes is to force myself to think of someone to do something nice for or to say something nice to, and work towards that. Anything that gets me thinking about others and how I can support or help them with their issues stops my pulling down. I just pick up that phone and call, or use messaging to get things going. Another thing I do is to go into the kitchen and "cook up a storm" as my husband puts it. Just watching him enjoy the variety of food or sharing some with friends and family gives me that needed lift. Finally, I read my Bible and inspirational books and pray to God a whole lot about my specific issues. Although you may not realize it you are doing a great job! Working from home, being a stay at home Mom and a devoted wife carry a HUGE amount of responsibility and they are all quite new to your brain and body!!. You rightly have high standards for yourself but please try hard to give yourself some slack and enjoy the love and support of your Husband, family and friends and you'll find yourself settling into an acceptable (not perfect) routine as time progresses. Beautiful hair!!!! ( Note: Please forgive my rambling. I am older! That's why I talk so much lol)

We are not supposed to do this on our own!! Recruit help through family, Postpartum Doulas, baby sitters etc. Lower your expectations regarding what you “ should do.” List ONE task ( other than caring for baby) that you want to accomplish and do that! Full stop! Focus on what you do and not what still needs to b done! Be kind and patient with yourself.

What you're going through is one of the hardest parts of being a new mom...with first babies it's hard to find that balance of wanting to always put our baby first but also allowing them to self soothe when you know they've been fed, changed and not sick. This doesn't mean to just completely "abandon" them when they're crying for you but it means to go to them let them know you're still here for them but not taking him from the crib. That will teach him to self soothe and that's valuable for them later on. I was an at home mom to four boys...I had to put myself last for what seemed like forever but you have to take at least 30 mins for yourself everyday. And ask for help when needed. I promise you it gets better ❤

Honestly respect time, and be patient with yourself. Stay out the house and do some grounding on the earth with your barefeet when possible, drink lots of water, stay in the sun and at the gym. I also, recommend going to a sauna and doing a deep sweat.
@DesireeMarie3 жыл бұрын
Yes to ALL of this! I loveee walking barefeet outside but on the east coast it's getting really cold ;( I will definitely try my best to get out despite the cool temperatures especially since baby loves the outdoors too

Desiree, I 🙌🏾Pray that you will overcome the overwhelming situations of your life with Divine Spiritual guidance. You will find time for you, baby, and husband and neither of you will feel neglected. As for your baby sleeping a short walk, baby cereal in warm milk, warm bath may help you. Running your Business was planned with a Purpose by GOD, so do not look back because you started a Blessed Beginning for You, Family, Others. I started watching you long before you got engaged, I did not subscribe I was inspired by your Loc Journey. You have come a long way, stay Encouraged and try 10 minutes for you and build your alone time gradually. You will Win and have the Victory. 🙌🏾 GOD Bless You And Your Family. 😊

Girl you are fine best part of being a mom no one ever said is going to be easy you just tired you overworked and thinking too much thinking too much will get you in trouble turn that brain off sometimes we as women think too hard about everything but as for the baby ask your mom to help and maybe it's time to wean him off the breast so he can be more independent and you have more time for yourself while he's on the bottle trust me I noticed that what my first daughter and trying to find time for myself was like Mission Impossible but once I stop breastfeeding I have more time things turned around I don't care who you are or where you come from we all need time to ourselves I know me too I'm not a doctor but I am a mother who did suffer from postpartum depression but that comes with being a mother why don't know but it does praying for you number one stubby
