Thank God I grew up in the 1970s. This music shaped my generation. The 1960s and 70s was the absolute best year's in the music industry. Nothing even remotely compares.

It's hard to believe this came out 52 years ago, like it was yesterday we were young, innocent, and listening to this awesome song on our AM radios! Where have the years gone, we had our whole life ahead of us, seems we blinked and here we are, if only!!💕 To all the beautiful memories and all those amazing days we thought would last forever!❤

Surprise! None of the four steppers ( Airion, James D , James S or Herb sang on the 14 top hits) Arion love sang duo with Russell Thompkins Jr on only one song. The backup on the recordings was actually Thom Bell, Linda Creed, and other MFSB studio singers. Thom Bell did bot like the 4 singer/ steppers.

I'm surprised how many young people I've heard who really do seem to feel like they've missed a lot and wished they were alive back then. I felt like I heard more good songs in one night in the summer of seventy five than in the whole nineties decade. I wonder if there aren't stats that nearly corroborate that.

He was also a major influence on Barry Gibb Of The Bee Gees and Jordan Knight of New Kids On The Block. In The UK on the very first Edition of Pop Idol Gareth Gates who would be the Runner Up sang "You Are Everything" with Rachel Stevens of S-Club 7 who were next to Steps one of the most successful Co-Ed Groups in UK Pop. You Are Everything was the Love Anthem of Kevin Arnold & Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years. I'm not sure but I think Danica McKeller (Winnie) was in The Audience when they performed.

When I was 17 I used to babysit for a lady who was a keep fit instructor on a Tuesday night. Her son was 7. I had a boyfriend, he used to spend these precious tue evenings with me. My parents were strict, I was allowed minimal time out. At that time my boyfriend Kevin, was into heavy rock. D/purple Sabbath etc. But all this lady had in her house was lighter music. The stylistics album was one of her albums. He had to listen to the Stylistics regardless. Unfortunately, going into his eighteenth year he passed in a motorcycle accident. I'll always remember these songs, him and our precious times. You were are special person Kevin. You touched my life. Always remembered and missed Elinor. 62 nurse x

As a White guy born in the 60's at least half of my record collection were quality Black artists with really massive Talent, Style & Class... Randy Crawford, George Benson, Barry White, Stevie Wonder, The Stylistics, Michael Jackson, i could go on & on the list is massive, I adored these people, I didn't care whether they looked different to me, I know pure talent when i see/hear it ❤. But somehow it all went off a Cliff & now all we have are victim mentality whiners with no talent, no class, just aggression & negativity... Sorry but its true...👎

I wish I was born during this time to experience this part of our culture live and real. I love the way they were. The 60s R&B entertainers were more polished in their styling musically and physically, but the 70s R&B entertainers take the prize hands-down for having more soul in every way. The 70s lyricists remain unsurpassed. I love the way they sang the songs. I also big hair, the clothes, and those dance moves the groups did on stage.

aqui do Brazil 😀 There's a spark of magic in your eyes Candyland appears each time you smile Never thought that fairy tales came true But they come true when I'm near you You're a genie in disguise Full of wonder and surprise And betcha by golly, wow You're the one that I've been waiting for forever And ever will my love for you keep growin' strong Keep growin' strong If I could I'd catch a falling star To shine on you so I'll know where you are Order rainbows in your favorite shade To show I love you, thinking of you Write your name across the sky Anything you ask I'll try, 'cause Betcha by golly, wow You're the one that I've been waiting for forever And ever will my love for you keep growin' strong Keep growin' strong Betcha by golly, wow You're the one that I've been waiting for forever And ever will my love for you keep growin' strong Keep growin' strong Betcha by golly, wow You're the one that I've been waiting for forever And ever will my love for you keep growin

Russell Thompkins Jr lead singer of Stylistics for over 34 years. He made the records and made the Stylistics. This is his favorite of all the 14 top hits. Russell is still singing and touring with his new Stylistics for last 20 plus years . His voice is still amazing. Catch his concerts on youtube. Russell Thompkins and new Stylistics! You will be glad you did. Especially his 70 minute concert video in Houston. Picture on video is him in white suit with mic in hand. Great concert.
