my only problem with this is that it goes into anxiety fears that people tempt themselves to better than that only to be worse with everything else they do as they "seem cool". also, some things can seem like you have adhd if you follow such things. im not disregarding, just saying its all nothing to blame. its human nature that we are going over so there is that

I listened to this while taking a bath this evening and there were a lot of things I really needed to hear. There is a project I have been wanting to finally start for a while now but it has been feeling like a big risk and I have grown scared at the thought of taking the leap. Listening to the part about the comfort zone and how trying new things and failing shows that you are at least trying to do something with your life instead of being okay with remaining complacent really resonated with me. Thank you for this I believe it was the kick in the butt that I needed

failure is not a step backwards but a step forwards, couldn't have been better said. we're often shamed for failure without realising we're learning more about what eventually can become more successful. and death is a motivation for living, watching my grandparents die last year from dementia really makes you think about what you ultimately care about and really puts a reality check on your life.

12:25 I think there’s a balance to that, that idea is exactly why people blame themselves for things that are not their fault and it might not be realistic or a good thing to do. I know it is addressed later but it’s still a very important thing

I started to listen to this video and the first 8 minutes feel like a bait and switch. For instances in my case I have door slammed and gone grey rock with a lot of people because I came to see myself has having importance and being special. I don’t know if the tone in the video changes but what I heard feels like the same talking point people tell others to get over things.

These are all nice sentiments, until you experience that people who don't share these values will exploit you for them. And you can't always say no, especially when it is in a job-related situation. Sure, you can quit your job and say "fuck you" to the boss, but then you throw aboard the majority of points from this book. This is kitchen sink philosophy. It might help those who are already entitled to do what they want, but it doesn't give anyone new or better options. The truth is if you are doing the right thing your entire life is going to change. And most people I met aren't ready to lose everything on the slim chance of winning at something.

I’m amazed I’ve been trying to figure out why I am like this now knowing how I was the complete opposite when I was younger. I’ve tried “it’s because you older” and that is true to an extent, I’ve researched sigma males and connected with that idea profoundly. Jordan Peterson was the only one who could hit a cord with me but you have just opened my eyes and I can truly say I did all these things and came to the same conclusion to deal with life as what your saying, well done mate I wish you only looked at the sigma male idea and added it to your conclusions because I think they are related or maybe it’s just with me 👍

I disagree with the fucking title. If you're trying to be discreet in not giving a shit you apparantly still give a fuck about being discreet. Not giving a fuck foregoes discretion because ya know discretion can only be maintained when you care about maintaining it.
