With the release of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League nearly upon us, and with some details and story beats of the game being released online, I wanted to make this video because some individuals have been using the death of beloved Batman actor Kevin Conroy to fuel their dislike for the game and how it treats the character. I believe that anything can be criticised, but I mostly think it's gross to use an outside context event to justify hating something

3:53 They still have complete control over bringing back a character whose story had already ended. They brought back Arkham Batman just to kill him, even ignoring Conroy that still pretty insulting. There's quite simply zero reason for them to have done that. They could've have used an original Batman with zero prior history that just so happened to be voiced by Kevin. Your point would make more sense if this wasn't being pushed as an Arkham titled. I do agree that the emotional appeal is a manipulative one, didn't think about that myself, but they still had complete control over using Arkham Batman or making up an original one.

Notice deashot and king shark especially are their DCEU versions. King Shark is literally the one from the movie The suicide Squad, its not even Arkhamverse character in this game. no it wouldn't have, the justice league was already formed way before injustice 1 and they didn't even have Supergirl, Hal jordan, etc, in the Arkham verse when they're shown in injustice 2. Also in the game, Batman forms the league years after his "death", when injustice batman never faked his death to the public. Many characters died too, like Nightwing, but he's still alive in Suicide Squad, Damian is never mentioned in Suicide Squad either but he's in Injustice. There would be massive inconsistencies making that statement because the games don't match up at all.

Hear me out, Kevin did an incredible job as Batman as always. Listening to his voice lines in the game directing Brainiac forces gave me chills every time. Of course Kevin knew about the plot, but, as a voice actor, you don't get to change the plot, you simply have to give your best within the framework you are given and maybe improvise if it makes it better. However, the writing in the game is just outright terrible. There is no way Batman who killed a bunch of cops in front of us would just yeet us around just for the fun of it before taking ages to shoot us. Batman is the one to uncover the fact that if the villians are working together, there are got to be bigger forces at play so the best decision is just killing us on the spot. But no, writers decided that the most logical solution is to just let the suicide squad live every time after a encounter with a hero because JL doesn't take us seriously, but, of all charecters, Batman had to be the one who should with his experience from before.

I can't see a world where these losers come together to even just take down batman, keep in mind this is a batman with no limits. My problem with most of the arguments against this game is that his story DIDN'T end. He was still Batman even after the events of Arkham Knight. He didn't die, he just started using fear toxin. This is literally confirmed in the game, so it wasn't the end of his story. I don't get what people are upset about.

Seetbabyinc where the ones to write the story and the way the cutscenes were going to play out and rocksteady signed off on it so it is rocksteadys and sweet baby inc. fault for how the game turned out. And keven conroy was battling cancer for many years he knew he was going to die someday and that why he took the job so his family would have money for when he was gone so I can understand why he would take the job. Rocksteady are being blamed for refusing to rewrite and remake scenes after he passed away to give him the send-off he deserved it after all the hard work he has done for this version of batman.

Then it got delayed until 2023 because apparently the technical side of the game was a mess. Then it got delayed until 2024 because it was still a mess. People are saying their angry they didn't adjust to make it a send-off after they knew he passed. they could have done an animation where he momentarily comes out of brainiacs' mind control and sacrifices himself to defeat him or something along those lines. 2. The games budget is given based on how much it will possibly make back. I just dont understand how you can just kill off your main protagonist from your last 4 games in the least dignified way and not completely hate your fanbase that gets attached to the characters within the game.
