As we've learnt more about her, from her mothering nature, to her keen intellect, and now her sheer power during the Archon War...I have to wonder if the three seats in front of her abode have a deeper meaning. Zhongli had the Yaksha as his Generals, and we've known Guizhong is his second/nearest equal...I have to wonder if Cloud Retainer may well have been third in command. Yes they were friends... but perhaps they were also the three nearest peers in authority.

I have always wondered why Morax never ascended Ganyu to become an Adeptus. Maybe the reason why she didnt become an Adeptus and stayed in Liyue Harbor was because Cloud Retainer asked Morax to let her live the life of a human because she didnt want her to face the dread of the blood shed they caused over the centuries perhaps scared that she might have the same fate as her mother and Guizhong.

I've never seen any suggestions Morax makes someone and Adeptus or ascends them in any way. We learn in the new world quest that some Adepti never followed him but other gods. The game has historically used illuminated beast and Adeptus rather interchangeably. However recent quests have made it clear and illuminated beast is something you are but Adeptus is a title you earn. It seems one of those titles where you are an Adeptus basically when other people consider you one.

Ganyu's official introduction states that she is half human half Adepti. It is also mentioned in her Story quest/ Liyue Archon Quest that she has a contract with Rex Lapis just like the other Adepti. It's mentioned in some of her lore that working in Liyue Harbor as a go betweenHumans and Adepti is part of that contract. She just hides the fact that she is part Quilin because she is afraid it would ostracize herself from human society and, more importantly, she doesn't want to give people a reason to ask to touch her sensitive horns (she tells people they are an heirloom hair ornament).

While Ganyu's status is unclear, it seems that for most practical purposes, she is numbered among the adepti. For example, she uses her adepti power to make the Traveler stronger during the battle with Osial.

Well no it's not counterfeit from what I can tell she actually has a real vision from what I can tell it seems like there adeptal energy either becomes a vision when they go in human form or it's granted to them when they turn human

@@_Nyxus_ that's where your wrong because they indeed have real visions as we know atleast xiaos vision reacts with starsplinter ore unlike zhongli and ventis also Xiao vision story the wording implies that all adepti get real visions "this illumination refers to the light of a third "eye" that they possess: a vision. But do adepti receive their Visions as a form of acknowledgment from Celestia, like humans do?" And this what it say for xianyun "But now that she's walking the mortal realm in human form, following human rules somehow seems oddly appropriate. To her, using a Vision as a medium to harness elemental power couldn't be easier... so why not?" So while it says she does not need it specifically it also says using it as a medium to harness elemental powers means it is real and she can and does use it

@@rippertheindoraptor7908 Just look it up on Google. Developer said Xiao had a fake vision, as the Adepti have a third eye already and do not need to possess one. It's possible xiao has it transform into a vision but it's not the same. Cloud Retainer also uses her powers without a vision in her crane form but now has one, which seems like a coincidence unless they wield fake ones. I've been searching for the answer to this question, so just Google it and see what you think on what others also say. (Not being aggressive, just stating what I've seen/found)

The Adepti were told by Zhongli in a dream right after his Archon Quest (the part where he tells us about Inazuma) that he was alive (as was Ninguang) and he and the Adepti even had a little party last Lantern Rite where they made Bamboo Shoot Soup in one of Cloud Retainer's cooking pots. :D

These people literally carved the history of every single human under their protection and you say it’s not important? Man internet brain standards has really fallen. You are confusing what Lore means bro. She may not be directly active in the ArchonStoryline but Genshin isn’t some half assed game with just one straight line as a story, it’s basically a world with multiple intersections of stories that made the storyline. Even weekly bounty and dailies have some very deep meaning if you bothered reading them.
