10:13 You were smacking the heck out of that, how awesome it must be to have home grown citrus like that, you make me want to move down south. 😆

Just found your channel, your citrus is looking nice. I bought two Shiranui last year and they are constantly trying to flower and set fruit, but I keep cutting them off because they are too young. I am so looking forward to a harvesting them in a year or two along with some other cold hardy citrus here in central WA.

I bought 2 shiranui this winter and also just got in a Kishu mandarin and a N-33 navel orange this week. Looking forward to when they get big enough to produce fruit. I will be growing them in the cattle lick tubs. I have 6 citrus that are inground but with our recent cold winters it is hit or miss with winter damage preventing the next years harvest.

Ye it's crazy how far the cold front reaches down south to you guys in the recent years. They will produce heavily for you still in the cattle tub, I have seen the same Sumo in that size of a container in Sacramento putting out 50+ fruits. Just make sure to use a very large stake in the beginning and prune the sumo higher because their fruits are quite heavy and pull a lot of the branches down.

This channel rocks bro. I have a shiranui tree in a 5 gal that is 3 yrs old. The shiranui (sumo) that are from the stores in the US are grown here in CA. Our winter this year has been relatively warm and sunny which allows the fruit to lower the acid to develop that strong sweetness and flavor earlier than cooker climates. I’m on the coast and my citrus too takes a bit longer develop but when they reach their prime I find the flavor superior to store bought ones. Happy growing.

Appreciate it! Yup, by having our citrus inside the greenhouse here in the Panhandle of Texas it get quite hot during the day and almost freezing cold at night thus help sweeten up the majority of our citrus nicely. I miss California! When I was in Sacramento citrus was grown everywhere and there was so many different varieties. Very envious that you guys can grow it pretty much in ground/outdoor haha.
