The Sunbreak Demo is preeeeetty good | Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

So I caved and played the Sunbreak demo. Yeah I know big surprise. And it's got me excited for this coming Thursday even more!

100% agree with the master rank changes. After beating Astalos first try, my jaw dropped when Tetranadon killed me on the jump attack when I tried to wirebug away after the first jump then it hopped back up and dunked me. Very hyped for Sunbreak.

As a firm fan of the Fated Four, I'm happy to say that I missed Astalos' fighting style, which is to say (at least to me personally) "crackhead with a taser".

I noticed the fuzziness thing too but then I realized I have brightness set to 48 in rise and the demo has it at 50 by default. So once I dropped it down everything was fine. Kinda shocking how much just 2 brightness levels help with the saturation and overall sharpness of the visuals, especially the lighter colored parts of the environment

yep i think that the wind pressure has been raised up...it also applies to rathian so i think its gonna be the same for all the flying monsters which i think is cool but also annoying...it adds details (pros) , taking a flight with their huge body does requires great force of air...... but its annoying(con)

I fuckin loved rise base game but it was too easy to bully monsters so I'm glad this adds a little more balancing, few more tweaks and it's perfect

I can confirm the speed changes as well, tetranodon also caught me off guard with how fast he was

The stun, double jump, and double sumo push, caught me off guard

Everything seems to stun now too. I know stun resistance became such a gimme skill in Rise because of the 1 slot lack of variety, but there's no way you can get rid of it now. Tetranadon literally stuns you with every third hit. Dread to think what the other monsters are like

Sunbreak is just amazing. To (not) spoil Malzeno, it's basically just like that one Magmamelo event mission where it deals "true" damage but the difference is that it's on a ten minute timer.

I played a bit of the demo but currently blasting thru Rise prep as I switched over to PC When Rise went on Steam discount. I'm still gonna be behind in terms of materials and decos but hopefully I can replace HR gear with early G rank gear fairly quickly

Im glad astalos is back he was my favorite monster to fight in gu adept db was just so good I know all his moves like my itembox can't wait to us LS to parry every move

My only issue with the jungle is how cramp it feels which makes fighting astalos in certain areas and absolute pain due to how wide his attacks are!

Really enjoyed getting to fight Astalos for the first time. Never failed the actual quest (might be because of the 9 carts) but it still took me a while to beat him in under 3 carts. My only issue with the demo so far is the Claustrophobia in the Jungle map. The map is pretty large, and yet, I can't help but feel cramped everywhere. (Oh well, probably just me) and honestly that probably just boils down to personal preference in the end.

This will be my first Master Rank experience. I didn’t have World long enough to reach Master Rank quests, so I’m going to get me ass handed to me on a silver platter for sure. I’m just looking forward to the new armor sets we can get. I thought getting Master Rank armor allows you to fully color all parts of the armor that the other ranks wouldn’t let you, but I’ll find out.
