I'll say it's an ancient chest of drawers! It's no doubt assembled by hand. You can still see the ruff sawn lumber they used. Great job of saving this piece of history.

Why did you put the veneer patch grain at a 45 degree? It wasn't any harder to just match the grain direction. Was the other side patched to match or something?

The huge all metal/iron clamps used on the body frame looked like fine olde antiques. I think there were some shorter/smaller ones, too. Perhaps they are your family heirlooms? Lustrous finish.😊🎉❤

HI. The furniture isn't mine. A lady sold her house in the countryside and inside she had this chest of drawers with other furniture, which she had purchased together with her husband. He asked me if I could arrange the furniture because he wanted to give it to his daughter as a souvenir that belonged to the family. As for the audio writings, etc., I don't really like them being included in the video. The coins I found will be checked by an expert.

Bello il restauro conservativo del mobile, rispettoso della sua storia e della sua età. Quanto alle monete, quelle ben conservate lo sono perchè con ogni probabilità risalgono agli anni '70 del secolo scorso, erano date in omaggio con una nota marca di merendine 😄. Il frammento potrebbe essere autentico, valore circa uno o due euro, se ti va di lusso... Insomma, per diventare ricco è meglio continuare a restaurare mobili.

E' un comò italiano della fine anni Venti/inizio Trenta, ma qualcuno l'ha prodotto ancora più tardi, identico. Abbastanza comune in Italia. Diciamo popolare. Valore basso, anche per l'impiego di molto compensato. Una volta terminato fa la sua figura, comunque. Se ne trovano molti che addirittura non necessitano restauri complessi.

Мне одной интересно...откуда взялся четвертый ящик? 🤔При показе старта работы его вообще в наличии не было... А ободраная бумага в ящиках осталась, как и была?😵‍💫 Направляющие ( опять о ящиках😂) сделал новые, но даже не ошкурил... Не говорю о том, что бы воском пройти для мягкого скольжения... Кусок шпона не по рисунку... Нет, финиш выглядит неплохо... И что стало с найденными монетами?..🤔

I get you are trying to do a basic restoration, but please at least use a bit of sandpaper on your patches and rework. Also, use a grain sealer BEFORE you stain. It will help in matching the patched areas. Sorry to say, this is a lot of effort and kind of sloppy execution. And for gods sake, match the grain on your patch!
