The synths on AvP Extintion are the units that change the most. Whereas most keep their base design but with improvements (marine gets extra armor and a grenade luncher under his gun, yautja spearmaster get plasma enhanced blades, xenomorph warrior gets more quitinous chest armor and spikes, etc), the synthetic goes from looking like an human technician with a pistol and a motion detector, to a tall, bulky guy with a shotgun that can make the less armoured targets stagger for a second.

Synthetics are amazing. I really want to see the other variants explained in more detail. The robotics seem to vary a bit in the Alien universe. I'd love to see you explore the constructs, a variant of synthetic made from artificially grown organic parts and organs, much like a Bladerunner replicant. One such character was used to test the accelerant in the Fire and Stone comic IIRC.

To be really honest that I find these Types of Artificial Intelligence being far much more threatening; and dangerous compared to Terminators of SkyNet universe. Not only these androids spread everywhere; and used on almost complete every human works; but also they're quite component. These qualities are what SkyNet absolutely lacks; not the *01* of The Matrix though; they've Won

I actually want to see a versus for the various AI of the sci fi universe's. Also the terminator franchise is not all about cybernetics, in fact most models qualify as androids, even the Connor model was more android considering his body is completely artificial. Some of the alien androids are actually cyborgs for that matter seeing how they have organic components.

Funny enough, much like the T800, they were extremely hostile and malevolent in the first film but became more "human friendly" as the series went on. A.I. has always been a sci fi topic that has inspired awe and fear just like the thought of extraterrestrial life.

Did all David 8 models look the same? And if so, and people weren't keen on them, why did they make the Walter model identical?

I'm pretty sure they were all identical, the Walter model looked mostly the same because they wanted it to be the natural successor to the David series while changing the interior specs of the android.

Going back to these 4 yo videos, I think the main difference between this video and current videos (besides editing) is confidence. There's alot of "uhs" "uhm", etc, as well as hanging on certain words too long as if having to re-read the script. The current videos dont have any of this

We should also investigate about the MU/TH/ER mainframes. Some of them, especially those of the 6000 series, seems able to develop intelligence, self-awareness and even feelings. It's noticeable to know that as more these mainframes become sophisticated, as more they will try to "avoid" any contact with humans, for unknown reasons. In Alien Isolation for example, Apollo mainframe tried everything to avoid contact with Samuels first and Ripley later. Why? What he fears? In the first movie Alien, MU/TH/ER had a strange tone of voice when she was counting for self-destruction. Why she was so enthusiastic of being destroyed? Examples like these are present everywhere, we just need to look carefully. But, to understand what is going on in these synthetic minds, we need more info.

David and Jack the old story. It was extremely scary. I wish I knew the truth you know. Androids are really hard to get rid of. Synthetics to me were created because they couldn't be impregnated by aliens or other kinds of aliens. I hope that all hope isn't lost.

The androids or synthetics must have ran long side the construction of earlier Tyrell replicants and kept around after nexus models fell out of favor in 2049...In addition the synths ended up doing exactly what the replicants did in 2022 and after 2049. The blade runner and aliens time lines line up so well.
