There's a whole conspiracy theory in that the agent managing Zeus also manages Kiin, and they want T1 to fail so these 2 top laners would succeed so they get higher salaries, and in turn, higher cut for them. By denying both top laners, T1 would be forced to most likely pick up a rookie or untested top laner, had they not rushed to pick up Doran in place of Zeus.

Maaan, Zeus's side (agency) really chose the short term bag to HLE than Long Term (Brands, Merches, Fame, Legacy, & Money) with T1. Props to Doran saving T1 by signing in T1. For sure, the team will help Doran improve and overcome his "choking" issues and he will prove them haters (Don't forget that Doran played with Keria during their DRX days, so they might still have that familiarity of their gameplay). thing is, Zeus's agent also screwed over Kiin by making Kiin resign to GenG so quickly, meaning that Kiin didn't have any real time in FA market to try and get higher salary, even with GenG. Honestly this mirrors the DRX Kingen situation, and may very well play out the same. HLE is a strong org but like with Kingen could underperform. It will be a test to see if Zeus is truly a great player in his own right or if being slotted in a different team and org causes him to not show up. Zeus has had plenty of hot and cold performances, high highs and low lows, which maybe why the contract had disputes and I mean despite being young and having the ability to wait 2 back to back worlds wins will probably be the highest chance for these players to get their biggest paychecks. Sticking with the team while best for the fans may not be for these players’ futures if they lose next worlds as they have their perceived value drop and lose negotiation power. Short term gains that are guaranteed vs longterm high risk high reward.

I'm confused with this story? The difference in offers wasn't even that big , T1 offered 2.6M dollar , HLE offered 3M dollar. T1 offered 1+1 but zeus's agent wanted a 2 year contract. Instead he did sign a 1+1 with HLE (Understand who wants to understand LOL) The agent said Zeus signed with HLE but he didn't , so T1 at that point was forced to sign Doran even though Zeus wasn't signed yet.. He then heard T1 signed Doran then he took HLE. Also the Zeus his agent waited till Kinn was signed to force the free market price to go up for Zeus , the agent also declined an in person meeting , delaying it with Zeus himself because they already had a verbal agreement. It was normally sure that Zeus would extend the contract.... And normally there will be legal consequenses for the agent , T1 is suing them.

T1 offered a 1+1 with a team option. That's essentially a 1 year deal. HLE offered a 1+1 with a player option. Big difference. The agent said that they were going to take HLE's offer, they didn't explicitly say the contract was already signed. T1 immediately signing Doran and releasing the tribute video was essentially a way to get back at Zeus by saying they are no longer interested meaning HLE isn't competing with T1 anymore. Also they wanted to signed the best available top laner remaining of course. Wait for Kiin to sign is not illegal lmao, it's called leveraging your position. Zeus doesn't have to meet with T1. Declining that meeting is completely fine. They did also offer a 3pm deadline for a meeting out of courtesy and T1 was late, so that's on T1. And don't say "they didn't have enough time." nah no way was getting only 400k usd more worth ruining your brand for the rest of your career. He effectively snaked T1 and got erased and blacklisted for it, while his skin sales might not even sell out of spite of T1 fans for the way he fucked t1 over. Leaving is fine if he did not play T1 like that and almost resulted in T1 having no actual toplaner for 2025.

The thing is, it is fine for Zeus to leave, but out of all the ways, he had to go in some of the most controversial ways. Just tell T1 he wants to explore other options, but no. They delayed and delayed, and T1 almost had no top laner because Zeus and Kiin had already signed. Doran came in at the last minute to save them. People are not mad because Zeus left; they are mad because of the way his agency's scrumpy strategy.

One thing for sure is that Zeus has a verbal agreement with T1, but that didn't go through. How do you know nothing was delayed? Is it because Zeus's agency says so? What about Zeus and Kiin in the same agency? Is that a lie? T1 won 2 back-to-back worlds and you say t1 is a downgrade from GenG lmao. People thought Zeus would 100% sign with t1 and look now. Hell even Kiin said he was staying. Now that we have the obvious out of the way, long story short they were low balling Zeus so he went into another organization. And when you said "That's what everybody is talking about right now" You mean the fabricated Reddit post by a T1 fan" And the only people are talking about it are T1 fans and content creators trying to milk content from fake drama that's none existent involving big names nothing new we haven't seen before.

If it was Zeus own choice to leave t1 for hle then i am fine with that because its his career. But the agency(zeus) has the biggest hand towards all this drama. Somewhere in my heart i want to believe that zeus did not want to leave T1 and his hyungs because their bond was so great. I want to believe that his agency did him and T1 dirty but at the end there's no way that he signed the contract with hle unwillingly. I wanted to see ZOFGK play together for many many years. Season has yet to start so all are speculation. I believe that Doran, with the help of Faker and his fellow teammates, would shine ! As for Zeus, although his timing and handling weren’t well (somewhat similar to Piers Morgan’s interview with CR7), he has every right to do what he did. All the best for him. If we want Esports to be acknowledged as a sport and qualified international tournaments across the globe, then I think loyalty, commitment, gentlemen’ agreement, etc. AREN’T an acquired taste, is a must.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong - the general consensus is that the "grey area" could either be: 1. While Zeus and Kiin have different agents on paper, those agents are under the same parent company. This is relevant bc of the timing of events - Kiin re-signs with GenG in the morning, that same morning T1 and Zeus's counsel were supposed to have a meeting but the agency canceled and gave T1 a v tight deadline to make a counter offer (same day at 3pm), T1 then repeatedly try to re-establish comms and even tried calling Zeus and his family but they were basically ghosted, finally T1's COO and GBM resorted to driving from HQ in Gangnam to Zeus's house in Incheon. By the time they got there around 4pm, Zeus had already signed the HLE contract. Kiin and Zeus's agency basically dragged everything out until the very last second and ensured that T1 was absolutely effed by the end lol. Because by then they couldn't even TRY to negotiate with Kiin, the only other player contending with Zeus for best top laner in the LCK; but Doran came in clutch and signed with T1 almost immediately (same day before midnight iirc). 2. T1 claims they had a verbal agreement with Zeus that he would re-sign this year. Verbal agreements or oral contracts are legally valid and enforceable under Korean law. Take this with a grain of salt, because we have v little official information at this time. The info I mentioned was just what I remember from reading translations on FMKorea posts, Reddit, and Twitter. Hopefully, T1 proceeds with their intent to make all this public haha. TL;DR: Grey areas could be either: *Zeus and Kiin's agents/agencies are under the same parent company* OR *T1's verbal agreement/oral contract with Zeus was violated* Edit: Mandatory 'sorry if this doesn't make sense, English isn't my first language'!
