When it comes to politics and geopolitics, for me there has never been anyone else in the world who has been more accurate in reading the temperature in the room than you. I have always appreciated and truly respect that you have served as the devil’s advocate in so many cases, going above and beyond to analyze things far beyond what the majority of us do not consider or analyze. Your “proceed with caution” / “think about all of these other factors involved that may affect the outcome and result in what you don’t expect” messaging has always helped to steer us onto a more accurate path of analysis and action. I heard your talk with Ari Melber the other day, and - although you tried your best to restrain the feeling out of caution and not wanting to jinx things - what was clear was your clear sense of optimism. So much confidence in what is about to happen. In listening to this podcast the day before Election Day, I hear that much more confidence and certainty. THAT is something that I have never seen Michael Moore express. I know that THAT took courage for you to do because you know your words and beliefs have so much weight. As you have emphasized numerous times, at present we cannot say with 100% certainty what the outcome will be, but between now and then, you have given me all of the faith that and many so much faith that we are about to see something truly historic happen this week. As a US citizen living in Tokyo, I voted the very first day when early voting became open for my registered state. Sitting at home is not an option, go out and vote no matter what state you live in!
