This is really a you vs your ideal self. The current Touma who even forgot his past still continue to be a hero like he once were. Vs the ideal self that Touma crave for, the one who has everything he lost but, wants to replace him to be the real one. It's like that one story about a man and his shadow, who stole everything from him and he becomes his Shadow's shadow.

I still find it hilarious that Hamazura outright says "yeah I met you first so I believe you" and the rest of the people in the table are just rolling their eyes at the response while Touma genuinely appreciates it

This is my favourite volume in all of NT as I feel it was a combination of everything that has built up in the series with Touma and his relationships with Misaki, Misaka and Index! The volume had so many great, epic and shocking moments! From Touma turning into a freaking Dragon! Kamijou No Touma as character, the twist off there being 2 Touma's (my jaw dropped on the floor when the Dragon turned out to be the real Touma) and of course the epic call back to OT1 with Touma fighting Pendex again with the feathers. This volume was the perfect send-off to NT and the road to GT!

I absolutely loved this volume. It manages to make touma move on from certain things like a past mistake (specifically the part with a feather dropping onto his head) was so beautifully well done. Able to overcome a past mistake as if remembering....

Yep. Proving that he is a new person now who wants to move on from his former self. By defeating KnT and proving that having those memories doesn't make him the real Touma, he then does what his past self failed to do, embracing his new identity. it's a beautiful moment that sums up the themes of the volume.

It would be interesting if it’s revealed far later down the line if Dragon Shell was Touma’s actual Esper Ability. Not very scientific but it would be very much like Sogita’s in that regard.

Let's not forget that KnT was defeated not just because of that kitchen knife, but because of Touma's arm containing crystal shards that were originally part of a chandelier that was broken amidst the whole commotion. KnT swallowed those shards together with Touma's torn off blue-and-yellow arm. "So, how do they taste? How do those crystal shards taste?" This is kind of brutal, not gonna lie.

KNF was such a cool idea and interesting character. He presents and believes he's the real Touma, due to not only being inside of Touma but have all the memories that our OG Touma has lost. After the events with GT9, I was happy KNT came back. Now I wonder what's KNT's role in the future in GT and if he's going to be the final villain of Toaru or join Aiwass and Anna.

Always wanted to see what an evil version off touma would be like and when i read NT22R, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! i really enjoyed how KnT toyed with Misaki's emotions and was able to manipulate her. It's my 5th fav volume in New Testament and im hoping KnT will play a special role later on.

Felt like he truly observed all of Touma's actions from within and then distorted his way of doing things to the extent that it became malicious. Shows that Touma's way of doing things might not always be perceived as an absolute good.

Its not really a theory, in the sense that KnT is the 'voice' of whatever the IT is. Don't need to have it spelt out to us when Touma was seemingly 'talking to himself' after his arm was severed in WW3. Its pretty apparent that it was KnT's voice he was hearing inside that he was talking to. then again, GT9 doesn't say KnT, it just says "another boy". This is what I mean when I say Kamachi doesn't need to spell it out to explain things. GT9: "Kamijou heard a voice from somewhere. It came from inside his own head. Another boy spoke clearly." Like if this ain't KnT then who is it? OT22 Then this scene: “...You,” muttered Kamijou as his lips moved. “I don’t know who you are.” His words were not especially loud. And yet they still stabbed into the depths of Fiamma’s ears. His heart uncontrollably went on such high guard that he felt like overlooking a single twitch of a finger or blink of an eye could have a major effect on the outcome of the battle. “And I don’t know what you’re trying to do.” Fiamma did not know what he was speaking to. “But…” That may have been something only Kamijou Touma could understand. At any rate, he continued to speak. “…You stay silent. I’ll take care of this.” Literally happens after his arm was severed, again, who would he be speaking to in this when Kamachi has now said it was another boy he was hearing in GT9. Fans already theorised it may have been KnT after NT22R, but GT9 confirmed it.

Just because things a theory SEEMS likely to be true doesn’t make it true. I dont really understand the hate towards misaki. She thought the person she loves the most would lever be able to remember her. If she then hears that a Touma do remember then why wouldnt she help him. Her mental state would be that of a person that lost every thing and now has a chance of getting it all. Its not that she doesnt love the real Touma its the fact that she still hates herself for making him unable to remember her. But with this new Touma she can act like it never happend. Now everything is fine. Its a normal coping mekanism for people. Just like how people are in denial when losing somebody close to them and wants it not to be true. But hey, this is just my opion.

We don't know its exact true nature or how it is linked to KnT. But yeah its pretty much confirmed now that KnT was the conscious being within it that Touma talked to. Imo it makes the scene where Touma gets his arm cut off even cooler as thats likely KnT influencing Touma's personality. And then he rejects the IT in WW3 cos he's aware that doing so can make him lose himself and become a monster. This becomes clearer thanks to what we learnt in GT9.
