Here in Argentina, this was one of the most celebrated victories of Maidana. Mostly because of the contrast between Broner's trashtalks and goofy behaviour and Maidana's humble silence

Here in America this was definitely the most applause Broner, and by extension Maidana, have ever received. It's not about our countries, nobody in the US would claim that punk, except maybe that huge bowling ball guy that's always pretending to comb his hair for some reason. Personally I'm baffled as to why, Broner obviously has the intelligence of a 3 year old and most 3 year olds aren't the best at combing their hair. Reallyit's just cute as all get out that that we're pretending he has hair! In all seriousness I look forward the future documentary on "The Downfall of the Mediocre Boxer...Boner", a last hurrah before he's forgotten forever.

He was always a slow starter and back when Floyd was PrettyBoy Floyd his lateral movement allowed his check hooks to break a swarmers rhythm. If you mean El Chino or Maidana then yea he landed a couple but Floyd was more high guard first couple rounds

Adrian Bronner is the latest example that discipline is just as important as talent. At this point, the prime of his career in the ring is behind him. Hopefully at some point he gets the help he needs to become the best version of himself out of the ring. Excellent job as always Rhythm Boxing. Looking forward to the breakdown of Maidana/Mayweather. In my opinion, the second toughest fight of Floyd's career after the first Jose Luis Castillo bout.

Also a lesson in knowing when to play the villain role and knowing when to turn it off. He had a $40 million contract on the table from Jay Z and went on social media and insulted him and Floyd made him apologize. I think this was after the Maidana fight too.

If you ask me, discipline is much more important than talent. You can achieve almost everything if you are disciplined enough, talent for itself won't win you much. In the rare occasions that talent and discipline come together though you have guys like Ali or Ussyk.

I still remember watching this fight live 10 years ago. Adrien's actual "problem" was being able to back-up the ish you say. It's easy to look good in front of low-tier competition but once he moved up to fights like Maidana, Porter, and Garcia he got thoroughly exploited. Even though I disliked him back then I would hate to see a brotha's potential get wasted and I hope he gets a chance at redemption similar to Big George Foreman. He's still got a lot of years left in him.

This is by far one of my most favorite fights of all time due to karma alone! I can’t stand cocky, disrespectful fighters like Broner. Not only was I happy when Maidana “humped” him back BUT I was even happier when he won by decision. I might be in the minority here, but I never considered Broner as one of the best boxers pound 4 pound. I always believed he was overrated and the product of media hype. Broner's limitations were easily exposed in the Maidana bout. And I scored in favor of Paulie Malignaggi in his fight with Broner. Malignaggi was the busier fighter, scoring points despite his punches having no effect. Broner fought lazy and seemed uninterested. Never committed to boxing a full round, just content with doing as little as possible to steal rounds.
