I wish Suzuki made an convertible Jimny! I have a 2021 Jimny manual that I absolutely love. It's not super comfortable on highway trips and the like, but it works very well as an inner city car with its compact dimensions. Bring on the convertible!

I was excited of the possibility of a jimny alternative because it's too expensive for a cheap car. I was saddened when it's a concept. Although I am excited if the GW Tank 300 entered my country, despite Geely-proxy being the dominant chinese brand.

I was so excited to see this... Until i saw this was a concept.... 120 k usd is steep.... Pity Suzuki does not sell the new Jimny here in China..... this would be great at my Qidong place just off the beach.... damn... i want them to make an affordable version of this. and whilst Tank would be OK, i would actually prefer a suzuki version. damn! i would take the hardtop!!!!

The Chinese government made import expensive to make the Chinese purchase made in china cars which is good for the economy. US does the same thing. In most cases they even prevent imports and allow for the cars to be manufactured locally. That is how you grow the economy.

With the depth and breadth of the absolutely mind blowing Chinese car market, I guess there might be a handful of bourgeois that can afford this and would also be interested. But don't most imported cars sell due specifically to their foreign branding? Rebadging an imported car from a lower tier brand to a Chinese domestic brand simply to offer a new body style at such a high price seems reductive, business wise.

@@Peter-ox8lj Well it is. A tuning company bought a Jimmy from Suzuki and bought a Tank 300 from WEY. The tuning company then welded the front of a Tank 300 to the nose of the Jimny, added a wide body kit and cut off the roof. That by definition is a modified Jimny.
