Traditionally, since the 1400s, Tarot was a deck of cards much like playing cards. There were 78 cards in the deck. And originally people would play card games with the deck. The original tarot was a lot like the modern day playing cards, which all have specific suits that dictate the way the game is played. Each card of the tarot symbolizes something and based on the symbol drawn the game unfolds in a specific way.
But the tarot’s purpose extended far beyond a card game. Symbols are used to represent entire concepts such a spiritual principals, philosophical ideas and societal archetypes. And each card in the tarot does just that. It represents an entire concept. And as such, it is used as a tool of divination.

I know a friend of my older brother. He thought tarot cards readings were a big joke, but he felt it was entertaining also. I said you can do tarot card readings with regular deck OF playing cards. My brother knows how. The friend said i already learned that, here ill show you. He did a read for one of the other friends there. But it was a Death read. It said his friend was going to die in a year. He said, see stupid. Your going to die driving a care and crashing it. Your only thirteen. You die at 14. Haha see, stupid. He friend said well with the money I've been saving from all the lawn work I've been doing im going to asking my uncle for a car from his junkyard. He said sure save your money ill help you put some thing nice together. It will take years. Well, in one year this kid did alot of play card reads. Two more reads that were death reads too. The one friend saved enough money to get a working car in the year time frame. When no one was looking tried to drive it home. He didn't make it home. Ever. The boy was scared because of the other two reads. Those friends of his said nonono. He was stupid. He let the thought get into he's head while driving that's stupid. He was stupid. There's nothing to worry about. My brothers friend said, right. But be careful. His friends said, right hahahahaha. Remember it is stupid, just for fun. Not real... They dead too. He never wanted to do another read again. Even the none deaths happened. This one friend of his was going to have a baby with his girlfriend. They all laughed and said no way. She's too afraid of pain she'll never have a baby. 15 year old dad. Football player too. Sad future for him he never want pro. Got work young too. Parents mad. But that didn't stop people from seeking him out. They wanted to know when how they where going to die. They wanted to give him real money. He was angry. He said, you don't want to know. I don't want to know. Why do you want to know. What's wrong with you. One man. Refused to leave him alone. The man was saying I need to know i have to know. I already think i know. My brothers friend's face was sooo white and he was crying. Slowly hopping from one foot to the other. Like he needed to pee. The man said, you do know. I can see it on your face. Tell me. The boy said, they are really mad at you. The man, so its that bad. So I need to leave the country. The boy. No. Do that, will only let they do more and make it last. The mans face went white. Oh. So i have to turn myself in then. Ok. Thank you. He left the boy alone. I came up and said you really do have the gift. And it's growing. You even help that man. Really help. The boy said, no I didn't. Its just not going to be as bad is all. I said, oh. The man did get arrested. But soon was released. I remember every time i saw that man working i was having weird uncomfortable feelings. Then one day, no more. Stopped seeing the man working to just the man he normally worked with. I asked my brothers friend if he knew that man and if he didn't mind asking. I was still thinking about it and that weird feeling went away. The boy said me to I know him. I can ask. We both ask the worker. The man said yeah, there was a accident. Me and he boy where just staring at man. Apparently the man do didn't know. The man then looked confused and said, Don't worry, it was a quick death. Really very little to no pain. It was really quick. When you have the gift. You have it, and it can grow. And it is not a toy.

tarot is "traditional", but those interpretation is NOT mandatory. in fact, the worst readings I have ever had came from readers who stuck to "traditional" definitions. I've been reading for 43 years, and I often use the images to suggest a definition of my own making.

tarot reading is not evil. for those religious folks... the bible says don't seek to know the future. some readers, like me, don't predict the future. Instead I use the cards to help people see what's going on around them and what they can do about it. it's a form of therapy. I personally don't believe it's possible to see the future. maybe there are a few very talented folks who can (and they're probably currently working for the government as remote viewers) predictions are in the same percentile as flipping a coin, so you literally have 50 percent of a chance of getting something right.

Tarot helped me recover from a toxic relationship by being the perfect tool to reconnect with myself and learn to trust myself again (by trusting my connection to source). It took about 6 months practice and then I got to the point like you said where I was so comfortable at doing readings esp intuitively where I just laugh and say "of course!" at those uncanny card pulls, it all starts becoming validation and a way to dig a little deeper then too. What a beautiful video :) I love Tarot and I felt that "confirmation" in *so many* of your points. The deck I had for over 15 years was destroyed by someone just to hurt me and it felt like everything was over... Later I realized I could just GET ONE! It was such a crazy thought. Today it is a beautiful black and gold deck with beautiful drawings and colours that I love and I felt so represented by them with the explanation about the vibration of the deck/reader. The way I clear them is that I divide and organize them by their numeric order and arcana and suits, it gives me a feeling of resetting! Loved the video! I have been studying Tarot for over two years. It is such a complex and dynamic form of divination with endless interpretations. I have also began a great collection of Tarot and Oracle decks as I love the artwork in so many of them. I am not a reader for others (yet), but I am learning that a major part of divination is trusting your own intuition and not necessarily the textbook meanings of the cards. I too believe that the capacity to Divine is not inherent in the deck, it is inherent in the reader. I believe cards and any form of study should be used to confirm, not to dictate who a person is, nor dictate the situation, but again--to confirm. I think humans are prone to prejudge and so their influence or judgment can unknowingly be reflected in their readings and what they write, although their intents may be innocent. I do not use tools because I want to be guided by the Divine Holy Spirit without tools. And I am just learning to use my gifts. Before now, I've used my spiritual gifts to help people by "accident" (since childhood), if you will. I do not disfavor tools if the professional needs tools. Wonderful KZbin share. I have my fair share of tarot decks and oracle decks, but sometimes I'm not feeling the connection it kinda left me pretty disappointed. The lost in connection often led to confusing readings that could be hard to interpret. :( Other times the connections hit me really strongly especially I asked about my own problems ... Hello Teal, I'm a fellow New Mexican. I appreciate your occult/esoteric content. I've read tarot for nearly 14 years and I'm always learning! I belong to the Cult of La Santa Muerte, we are very misunderstood. Those of us who are more adept in the arts, would love to hear your take on how to safely invoke the dead . I know there are many ways, and I know you have a technique we could benefit from.

I find the idea of spiritually tied to diet is a falsehood. I've been drug and alcohol abstinent and a vegetarian for extended periods, and I've found no special spiritual clarity in regards to it. I didn't "vibrate" at a higher level. I was just still me. I think that out personalities don't ever change, with either trauma or past lives. I love eating a great vegetarian salad as much as the next person. But some of these new age ideas about vibrating at a higher level are questionable. There are other unknown factors at work. As a new age type of person I have found that Evil is very real and it comes in the form of entities. Evil is sick and demonic and will attack you as a person. It has awareness. It is intelligent and only wants to find a home in you, while it destroys everything around you.

Actually just like tarot is interpretation, this idea that eating a dead animal that "suffered" lowers your frequency. MIND BLOWING PART= Its that BELIEF, that idea in your head actually causing the lower vibration. Because your belief on meat eating has a negative association. Now if you were to change your perceptive, to lets say, Nature is Amoral. Killing and eating is a normal part of nature, we are a product of nature. There is nothing "wrong" about it. Then no more negative belief, hence no lower vibration. Now if we go into biochemistry and health benefits thats a whole other topic. But just like everything, our minds play a bigger role in things then we fully understand.

You can drink a bit before some people open up a bit more it let's down the ego. It is good to clear yourself.I know a reader who takes spiritual baths and meditates a bit and connects with her deck. She seems to do well. She will have a beer or drink tea it doesn't seem to mess anything up. I think it's a personal choice.

Hi Teal, I love tarot I think they are a great tool to get in touch with “higher” energies. However, I’m trying to figure out why they are considered a sin in religions like Christianity and Islam. I’ve heard arguments like: 1. People end up comparing it to God / Source.. or they start to worship it. Which we know is not the correct approach to tarot anyways. 2. The response we get from tarot or the “energies” we connect to are in fact lower frequency energies and spirits or demons and the devil... this is where my doubt comes in. How do we know who is it that we are connecting to? What if we are actually being misled by a lower frequency? 3. Dependency. They speak about how people can become addicted to this tool of divination. I guess my biggest hesitation is with the second point. How do they actually work that the right card comes out?(because it does). Which energy makes that happen and how do we trust it? Thank you x

Wow!!!! Got the cards.... They came on a full moon. The same night I slept next to them and OH MY!!!!! My dream was sooo intense ! I saw through all the dimensions at the same time ....
