This is still the greatest song I've ever heard. It's as good today as it was back then. The Tea Party have a habit of creating amazing songs that will live forever. I've turned a few people on to this band, and this is usually the song I use. If someone, for some reason, has never heard of Tea Party, this song will easily get them hooked.

Definitely worked on me when I heard this song on the radio in 95 or 96 as a kid. Had never heard anything like it and I was hooked. It was also a big moment of disillusionment as I was baffled and outraged that this band wasn't MUCH more popular. Psychopomp was actually the song that most helped me get other people into them.

Amazing example of the awesomeness of 90s rock. I loved how it seems The Doors heavily influenced them, but they added such a unique twist to their music.
@lastannahme2 жыл бұрын
Yes - I agree - they did it in a really subtle good way. The quality of this music stands on it's own yet the hommage is quite obvious and legitimate. It's a great, underrated, smashing track and band. The Tea Party is hot! Today you have Greta Van Fleet and of course their influence is obvious as well but it's good that bands like this exist because otherwise amazing music might be forgotten to easily.
@DonTheMoron716 Жыл бұрын
The Indian influence made it for me from a Canadian Rock Band. Also, the obvious Alternative, Metal and Prog influences. Has a little of everything so not popular.😊

I'm old enough to remember when this band first busted into the scene...at the time, I was into older bands and songs like The Doors, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, etc. As well as new stuff, and this band struck a major cord for me hard-core because they brought that old school sound and feelings into the newer music scene then...fell in love with them then, and still love them today 👍🙂

Silence swimming in a pool of dreams Beneath its depths forgotten streams Above, the city of the evening star Behind its walls, the grand bazaar As she walks through its endless maze Cursing those who mistrust her ways Please my friend no matter what she sees Tell my lover come back to me Doorways spilling out their sombre light Casting shadows that will raid the night Along the alley of her ruling fears Walk the vision that will cause her tears Lying still as she wills her glance Though the eyes of a charmer's trance Please my friend no matter what she sees Tell my lover come back to me And on the walls Shadows play Twilight souls Anguished ways Lost adrift Severed seas I await you Come to me

This was introduced to me years ago in an old game called "Utopia" by featuring Kingdoms and vassal states working together toward the common good in a competitive environment. My Monarch called our Kingdom "Edges of Twilight" based on this album. At a time it was the most feared and destructive Kingdom in the entire game (which had something like 150,000 players, which was a ton in that era, given this was like 1990s early 2000s).
