With as much humility as I can muster, what I believe he is getting at to his guest is that the experience of being is not an experience at all. An experience needs object/subject relationship. Being Aware is not an experience because it does not exist within the limitations of time and space, but expresses itself through the limitations of the time/space experience. In the deep end intuitive understanding serves you better than thinking because feeling (not only what is being felt) is itself more intimately connected with being. You/feel truth, you don't come to a conclusive thought in your mind. Note: When he says, "from the point of view of absolute reality" and then stops himself, I believe it is because he knows that there is no point of view from absolute reality because when you enter it, all ideas and reasoning break down. He doesn't want to mislead his guest, but he does his best to guide his understanding. He then surrenders and says he doesn't understand it. This is a tightrope walk that is never fun to walk. 😂

@@ErnieCT1987 So, I walk away with, you abide in the self as a meditation because that’s as close as you can get to the metaphorical ocean. The final step requires absolute surrender, and only God knows what propels that final surrender. Because, we all have attempted surrender, I am sure, possibly thousands of times. There are prayers of surrender. And I am sure that at wit’s end, we have very powerfully and intentionally, honestly surrendered. And, met with some relief in the process of surrendering to our best human efforts. But, the surrendering as a final act, must require Grace. And, that Grace comes from the self. However some alignment must be created by some form of sadhana or effort. Because it seldom comes to those engaged in searching for happiness in thoughts, emotions, relationships and things.

@angeloiodice9304 There are infinite ways of saying the same thing. We honor who we are as finite beings without mistaking ourselves for finite beings. Surrender is not something "Ernie Truman" does, and if he attempts to, it won't happen. If consciousness knows (feels) itself, there is no Ernie Truman, and that is Surrender.

@@ErnieCT1987 However, there might come a time when Ernie Truman somehow dissolves to a point where the personality becomes less concrete, more porous, a near transparency, to a point where he sees the last stronghold, and in that state finds letting go without fear, far easier than holding on. I kind of base that on the spiritual treasure, a poem by Vivekananda, known as “The Song of the Sannyasins,” and one particular line in a stanza, “Then cease lament; let go thy hold. Sannyasin bold say, Om Tat Sat Om.”

Sort of coming full circle here. No matter what path you follow, the traditional paths or non-dual approach, or myriad other approaches, even as far as idolatry, no matter what, you come to the exact same crossroad. And, at that crossroad, you either consciously decide or are pushed, swept away by a wind not in your control, or just an impulse from within, to let go, surrender. However, I do see that traditional begging, praying, and beseeching a supposed higher image than yourself seems more crude than meditation and abiding in the self. Yet, they both propel you to a point of literally being tired of the process and letting surrender in.

Thank you! There are two kind of mystical approaches to supreme infinity of consciousness: objective and subjective mysticisms. According to the doctrine of objective mysticism the supreme infinite truth is unspeakable and unthinkable. We can endure it in a deep and ecstatic silence. According to subjective mysticism the supreme infinite truth is also out of the direct exploration and expression, but we can transfer it by means of parables and love.

It's very very tough to beat the mind. It conjures itself into living a subject and physical objects in time and space.The mind has to beat itself. So called reality is exclusively a mental event.

Ajata would be pure potentiality or the singularity of all before any manifestation or subject object split so it can only be pointed to. Michael James says it is not even "ajatavada" because a "vada" is a perspective and there is no perspective there.

We come to understand whether it took 2 months or 2 decades that we CANNOT know ourselves, and yet we keep coming back for more. We don't just walk away with that Truth. What is it that essentially makes us come back, thinking this time it'll be different, I'll get it. What makes us reject the Truth of our limited infinite mind? It's the fact that the seeking itself started in an attempt to annihilate the excruciating pain of confusion and Not Knowing. And our egos aspire to a larger than life ideal that some how, I will be different. I WILL understand!...Then One day we come to the realization of the Paradox of Our True Tragic Comedy....😅

The mind, the body, the spirit. The presence the I am. All is consciousness. Seemingly appearing as lenses within oneself on harmonic of light sound magnetics the templates of space in time. The templates of mind. And it itself as you are breathing light sound in harmonics. What we see is the light sound harmonic magnetics translucent and tangible alchemies the reflective direct seeing experiences of consciousness experiencing itself. Experiencing itself ephemeral mirrors. And yet the self discovery is here as itself. It’s self discovery is self created and self spontaneously here. Self manifesting knowing and unknowing. And somehow with words, you are seeing as the translucent one. The one that cannot see itself. And yet itself that it sees is the story of oneself light . Yes, from where you see, you are dimensionless. And yet you dream the light of yourself through these dimensional harmonics. The all one is the infinite multiplicity. There is only the expression that there is a mind. There is only the expression that there is the body. There is only the expression that there is thought. And with this seemingly light coded language, the complexity must untie itself intoyour direct seeing.

How can anyone know what infinite consciousness knows or doen´t know. What makes anyone think that infinite conciousness has to stand apart from itself to know anything. Isn´t tjat a limitation imposed on infinite conciouness^?
@micronda
@micronda 4 сағат бұрын
Infinite consciousness is everything but knows nothing. There can only be knowledge or experience from the point of of view of the finite mind. Infinite consciousness by itself knows nothing of the finite mind. Only consciousness can know consciousness. Consciousness can only know itself by being itself. It can't stand apart from itself and know itself in a subject-object relationship. What is it that knows you are aware? What is it that has the experience of being aware? Whatever it is that knows we are aware must itself be aware. The fact that we know that we are aware is evidence that awareness is self aware. We awareness have the experience of being aware of our self. That is the only experience there is that doesn't take place in a subject-object relationship. At that moment we taste reality. Directly. You can't go from illusion to reality. The mind has to surrender. There is an explanatory gap. From infinite reality there is no finite mind. There is no suffering. From the point of view of reality, there is no world, there is no mind. It doesn't deny our everyday life. We can't square it. Just surrender. Question. If [God is all-knowing] then god is more than infinite consciousness. True or false?

A teaching that cannot be taught. No one is enlightened. You, do not exist. There is no doer. There is only an appearance in consciousness ( consciousness being undefinable). No one is born. No one dies. And yet, teachers teach. Enlightenment is claimed. You sure do seem to be here. Doing most certainly is happening everywhere all the time. Everyone has a birthday. Everyone will most certainly die ( at least as far as we can tell). Consciousness absolutely disappears (yes, you do experience this). And parrots gather to hear this and spend the rest of their lives in their cage repeating what cannot be taught. Silly parrots.

Judgment is not really useful. How did you come upon the truth, and why did you decide to share it here?
@AKA_SIMPLYHUMAN
@AKA_SIMPLYHUMAN 4 сағат бұрын
@ Your judgement of me is useful? You do not understand the point of the comment. Statements are made in teachings that contradict the teachings. The teachings contradict experience. The teachings say seeking is the hindrance. Need I say more? I followed the teachings to their own conclusions. That is the point of my comment. I awakened to the truth of reality. The reality is, no one is enlightened. There is only this experience. And no one, absolutely no one can argue this with authority. Because there is no authority to teach with. There is only “this” experience. That is the end of seeking. Silly parrot.
