I went up to the Tent to help my Dad with a couple of things but it was raining. I talked with him for a couple of hours before heading back to the Tent. Very strong storms predicted so we both headed home. I will be back up there in the next couple of weeks. The bugs were horrible.

Every video I see your Dad in, I think how fortunate you are to still have the time and still creating all these memories! Soak it in Joe and enjoy every moment on this Father's Day weekend! You are an awesome son to your Dad and I respect your patience and the respect you show him. I lost my dad going on 2 years ago on his Birthday while on a FaceTime call! I can't describe the pain and loss I have felt since even though I know he is better off and in a better place. i think about him every day while I take care of my Mom who is struggling in life. God Bless you and Happy Farther's Day, Joe! Brian from Texas

I can see saving some chives, especially the ones your mom gave you. But, can you please buy a string trimmer? Buy a couple. One for home, one for the tent. Also, thank you for showing us the stuff you show us. I always enjoy the vids. I truly think of you as a special friend. With a dear cousin in MSP, I would love to, with your acceptance, buy you a cup of whatever you would like to drink. Many thanks, Joe.

My building here in Missouri was built at least 30 years ago. It's 40x65 and insulated and the old wood stove i replaced with a new one. So when the building was put up they didn't put the rat guard along the bottom of the panels. The mice population was bad. I put out traps and bait boxes and this spring bought a product that is made with stainless steel wool and it is very sharp and put them up into the ribs and put the heavy duty screws to stop them getting in and so far has worked. This material is a 10 foot piece by 4 inches wide and a quarter inch thick. So it cuts easily with snips. They send gloves but they are too small for my big hands.

Hey Joe what brand is your wood burner at the tent again? We have a propane stove that works great and an old wood burner that hasn’t been used in years and is pretty large, probably similar to the I believe you use in the workshop. I was just thinking of maybe getting on that’s newer. I dunno. My parents would go up quite a bit in the summer and I prefer it best in the fall. My dad just passed away a couple days ago so I will be going up much more and much later into the season so would like to mainly use wood for heat. One of these times I’ll run into you up there as you drive right by our place going to the tent lol.

If the power would go out at the house, which it does quite often when it storms, there is things that have to be done to keep power to the basement sump pumps of within an hour there will be a foot of water in the basement this time of year. In the dry part of summer or even a dry spring, the sump pump never even comes on but this year it has been very wet. Melissa knows what has to be done but I would not enjoy myself being that many hours away from the house.
