We moved from the Valley to Plano (just north of Dallas) back in 2013. Miss the food and hangouts. There’s a reason why a city in the Valley is nearly always rated in the top 10 most obese cities in the US….. the food is too damn good. Love carne guisada!!!

I've lived in Dallas 3 years now. RGV is home. Dallas!!! I ain't lyin when I talk about the food back home!!! The further north you go, the more the flavors start to fade

We moved to Plano from the Valley (McAllen) back in 2013. I miss the food and her together but don’t miss the humid heat.

Just came back from trying out Tingys today, 🤯 🙂 try the street corn as appetizers. Another hidden gem. Great place will be my go to spot when I visit here.

They are young and have the energy and motivation to succeed. The Valley has changed so much. I moved out in 1984 when McAllen was struggling to grow. El Pato was the place to go !! Lol I wish you all the Best !!

Smells great. In Mexico, birria is traditionally made from goat or lamb and is cooked in a pit under ground wrapped in maguey leaves, much as traditional barbacoa. Buen provecho!

Try the street corn is bomb about 3 to 4 corn cobs cut in half toped with Mexican cheese red non spicy sauce the corn cobs are super soft and soo juicy comes with clantro and onion👌🤤

I gotta ask. What kind of meat is that? In todays world of "let's take a catchphrase (birria) and use it as a sales tactic" I can't help but wonder if that isn't the case here. I can't tell right off the bat but birria was what I grew up knowing as Mexicos' version of our barbacoa. Birria being goat meat and our own barbacoa being cow head/cheek/tongue etc. Not trying to start a fight but is that goat?
