I learned a lot from this sermon. Being a mother of three boys, aged 19, 17, 12. I played both roles of parents. Loud and demanding like a father, soft and loving as a mother. I failed as a "father". Denise Mayosky Alpha jerks is an extremely insulting and derogatory term. For one, your completely wrong about what they’re attempting to teach. They’re teaching them to be submissive. Yes, it is very important that a man be capable of assuming the alpha role. They MUST be the alpha of their family or the entire system fails. Each larger family group needs an alpha to turn to for the final decision and protection. If you have weak men, your stuck with overbearing women that become Karen’s....

I never really liked the concept of the "alpha male" because it usually implies a set personality traits that are considered strictly masculine and that if a guy doesn't have those traits they aren't "masculine " or "manly" enough. I understand that some thing are definitely more masculine than others, but there are some things that a man should be okay with expressing. One of these things I've seen is that a man shouldn't show too much emotion to others or cry, when that can actually be very damaging to someone because their told to bottle up there emotions and not address them or let them out.

Speaking of children, why do feminists hate women being taken care of like being dependent on a man? They say Christianity infantilizes women but we were made differently less logical and more fragile but those aren’t bad things in itself. I embrace my womanhood I’m more childlike than my husband I feel like modern Christianity focuses too much on the feminine side of Christ...Christ was (is) also masculine and upfront angry too! ...men of God are also so valuable!
@NinHawAssassin4 жыл бұрын
I think it comes from the viewpoint that when they see "being dependent on a man" they view it as "the man dictates what you can and can't do". And I can understand that viewpoint even though its flawed. If I had a wife I would never tell her "you can't do that because only a guy should do it". If its a job I know she could do better than of course she should do it.

I am glad that I am not the only lady here that has noticed how this pastor differed in his preaching of how girls and women should be compared to how boys and men are told to be. It is shocking actually. In my opinion and experience, men have more of an issue with lust and bad behaviour than girls and women. Also, men are called to have authority over their wives and homes but in this day and age this can be worrying because many men abuse this position and in the process abuse their partners. I know because I have seen it and have experienced this myself. So God fearing men need to take their role seriously and realise that they are also required to 'submit' to the Lord with these responsibilities and love and protect their wives as they do of themselves.

Minister Spencer Smith, I was led by the Holy Spirit to your channel a couple of days ago. I had prayed for God to give me more discernment and I do believe a lot of your channel has helped in many ways to help me open my eyes to be more discerning to ministeries. This is the first sermon that I heard from you, everything else has been videos of you either teaching or pointing out what is wrong with other ministries. I have watched both your Third Adam videos which were of great value and taught me much. Now in terms of this sermon, it was a very challenging sermon to listen which has kept me thinking about it for the past two days. There are some real truths in this but there are also so many problems with this sermon that it is quite concerning that a discerning church wouldn't see the problem with what you are speaking. So much I could write but considering most people won't read it there isn't much point wasting time. Please take it to the Holy Spirit to teach you why this teaching is problematic and whilst the crux of men need to do better and need to develop to become more like Godly is absolute truth. Your version of what it means to be a man, was truly abysmal, dangerous and deceiving to the undiscerning Christian. Now in one of your videos you talked about Steven Furtick (I don't listen to the man, I watched one video to see what it was you were talking about) but in your video you talked about how when teaching there are two ways, one who already has a message and sprinkles bible to back the sermon or the one who takes the bible and teaches what the bible teaches. You were very strong on which form of preaching was correct which certainly was not the first according to you. In this sermon, which is the very first sermon I have heard you speak you did exactly what you pointed was wrong and problematic about Steven Furtick (or however you spell his name). You point to your grandfather and his generation as if they held the keys and the true model of what it meant to be a man. Yes, please tell me how the men in your grandfather's generation would beat each other up if their word was questioned. You're telling me as a man that is what I'm to aim for? I understand you're talking about the integrity (vital and so lacking) the older men had. But don't speak about the old men in such nostalgia they had a lot of problems and much of their behaviour is ungodly, much of the ungodly behaviour has remained and been passed down as to what society now calls toxic masculinity. You talk about social constructionism; if you're going to bring that up please properly teach it to your congregation. You took individuals who have no point of reference for it and don't understand, gave a very bad interpretation and used the trust that you have as a preacher to make them believe what you wanted to believe. Social constructionism is a very important for your congregation to know because it impacts them today and will impact their children in the future. Particularly in an ungodly society which it seems that all of this ungodliness only just recently started. We can accept the good old days as ok, but now oft it is all demonic and bad. Nostalgia is indeed a very dangerous thing. I would have liked for you to have given me more bible and less what your society programmed you to think that a man is. I think the fact that you were nervous about this sermon, to me suggests that your spirit knows that this word is not Holy Spirit led/ inspired. When you point to Jesus as an example it is only to show when Jesus spoke to the Pharisees rebuking them. He called them a brood of vipers to signal that they were occultic and the seed of the serpent. Jesus wasn't name-calling people for no reason. Yet you a mere man then turn and speak to horrifically about a woman. Calling them harpies? Seriously? In Jude I read "Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. 10But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves."

Men need to love their wives and not be harsh with them, and their children. There needs to be a whole lot more preaching on this. God always needs to be first, then your wife and children are next, and they should be a man's first ministry. A lot of men work too much, are abusive or abandon their family, if not physically than emotionally. This world is changing rapidly and we might not be able to change that but we can make a difference to our families by putting God first and living out the bible. You do that by reading your bible, and a lot of Christians just aren't doing that enough.

"They had to get real close to the window cause they cant throw it very far" with comments like that you wonder why our youth, especially girls are bitter, hurt and refuse to be apart of a church that mocks them. Im a naturally strong women. I literally move furniture for a living and watch my male counterparts struggle or refuse to do any heavy lifting. Meanwhile churches constantly tell me to weaken who I am to allow the men around me to not feel small. Im not stronger than most men, except mentally. As are most of my female friends and coworkers. Im done trying to pacify weak men and letting the church tell me to be weaker instead of telling their men to act more like men. Meek and gentle is not weak and cant throw a ball a good distance. 🙄

Pastors need to call for men to be chaste. Men having sex out of wedlock is a crisis. No man can submit to God while in fornication.

I need prayer. My family is all out of whack, my sister is a Tom boy liberal and constantly angry at me for being a man. I can’t even talk to her about Jesus. She calls me self righteous, then if I get upset she calls me fake Christian. I need your prayers ❤️

Stop talking to her about Christ. Pray, even fast for her. You can't force-feed Christ. Self control is key. That & patience.
