I can't even describe how much Tack means to me. Without him, I wouldn't have completely realized the power of silent protagonists. He hearkens back to the days of Buster Keaton and really shows how a hero doesn't even need to say anything to make a difference. I wish he could've had more use in the first two acts, but that's a nitpick more than anything. Tack is such a wholesome and huggable little guy

It's a small touch, but I love that Tack's skin goes from an abnormally pale tone from being indoors cobbling all day, to the more natural tan like YumYum has by the end of the film. A lot of creators (understandably, since most of the audience wouldn't even notice) wouldn't bother with that. Just goes to show how much detail Williams put into his work.

I watched this movie for the first time as the directors cut version where Tack doesn't talk, and the thief is a mute, I couldn't believe how terrible the Arabian Knight version was after I tried to watch it afterwards , I really don't understand the choice of adding such an overwritten script on it.
