Black punched magenta to see if youd help, but you sat back, so black just yolo'ed into you for not helping.

You might be right. I have seen this exact same play from Pete.

Black's play there didn't make any sense to me. From his position he could see how big you were, and from the troop gen of pink he could tell how massive pink was getting. Antagonizing 2nd place just ensures 3rd when 2nd gets fed up with your bullshit.

Yeah I think so.

Black's play made no sense at any point. His starting cap was bad, he tried holding Russia with the bad cap, he aggressed players like Yellow (Pete) and Pink at terrible moments. The only times Black made good plays were clearly due to luck rather than deep understanding (e.g. the play where he peacefully took the +4 from Pete in the midgame).

The only thing I could see is that when he breaks orient he cannot see Pete's other position in Germany. Black probably thinks Pink is already nearly card blocked and doesn't want to give them another card in Germany so they think they have to break Pete. Now if they were really good and thought this, they would have broken Scandinavia. That is the only way black's play makes sense. Also potentially mad at Pete for not helping in the war against Pink.

As a cat owner, I agree that every cat is different and I can tell Reggie actually likes having his tummy smacked from how he reacts when you do that. Anyone who knows cat body language (especially paying attention to the eyes and ears, and level of squirminess… which is none for Reggie) can tell that he actually takes comfort from getting his tummy smacks because he trusts you as his safe human and he understands that action is a sign of affection. My three cats all love having their tummies scratched (much like dogs do), which is unusual for cats because their bellies are usually what is vulnerable to attack in nature and they have an instinct to protect that area. But we’ve had them since they were tiny (we fostered them) and have always scratched their bellies, so they actually LOVE that form of affection because they trust us.

You were talking about playing a little rough with your cat and that instantly reminded me of my own cat. He's a Maine Coon (around 16 pounds, so on the smaller side of Coonies) and he absolutely loves to playfight. He'll then suddenly stop and start grooming himself, purr and request bellyrubs and cuddles. He's also a very trusting cat that very clearly knows what he likes and he's trained me perfectly to attend to his playstyle and cuddling needs. People who actually own cats that like to play like you're their sibling will know that those cats form the most tight bonds and are the most trusting, loving and all around happy ones. I can FULLY confirm what Pete was saying and that he isn't abusing his cat, it's more likely the other way around xD

Must get old defending tummy slaps on Mr Reginald every day. The thing is, if you wrassle and roughhouse with a kitten, they’ll become a really cool cat. 😊

Hey Pete great vid as always. I just wonder why would you put a soft guard (3-4 troops) on your borders at the beginning of the game ? I thought it was a little bit odd since you are playing in prog. Have a nice day !

I belive (cause heard pete say before) its just an indicator to show the others you don't want them to break you there,.. and if they do it tells you an awful lot about them early on
