Thank you Susan! I’m on Day 43 (Yes, a New Year’s Resolution) and I have been crystal with my lines. I’m definitely a 10+ on the addiction scale. But, the overwhelming desire at times to cave is so powerful, it literally brings me to tears. This vlog is very inspiring and reminds me I am not alone in this journey.

Thank you Susan! This comes at a time when I’m trying to understand what really happens every. single. time I cave!!! I’m currently on my third day of another rezoom since gaining 33 lbs since my boot camp last spring! I’m going back to my BC modules as if I’m starting for the first time, but, since I’m also a spreadsheet nerd, using the one you have so generously designed and provided can only give me additional insight and help. I’m looking forward to your live presentation on Saturday as well. You give so much of your authentic self...always. You are an amazing, beautiful human being!

Susan, Once again you hit the nail on the head. I say I have a crystal vase 99% of the time. But, occasionally when I am experiencing a prolonged period of stress my vase cracks. I might slip a bit with my quantities or even a glass of NMD. At the time, it feels like a release from the built up pressure, like opening a value on a pressure cooker. But, almost immediately, I hate myself and feel worse. Fortunately, I am a speedy rezoomer and recover right away. But, it is good to hear that you experience the same kind of thing. Thank you for your candor and for always being there! Hugs.

I decided to write down what I think are my risk factors. I came up with 25!!!!!!! No wonder I struggle. I haven't looked at this before, so there was no way to be diligent and protect my Bright Lines prior to a break. This will be a strong tool for me. So blessed and thankful for Susan Peirce Thompson!

This. Sooo this. It's exactly where I've been the last 6 months. Work stress, family stress, traveling, surrounded by NMF and feeling weaker than f**k. Trying to get the gumption to get back on track and not being able too. So this is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks Susan for always sharing the messy parts along the way. (And I love the background btw!)

This is a great tool. It’s kind of like giving yourself a premonition reflection of what’s about to be risky behavior. To put speed bumps in that slippery slope. I like your lipstick color too!

I have taken the 14 day challenge and start tomorrow, I live and work in my care home for the elderly. So even though I encourage my residents to eat healthy I do have to feed them what they want. So I store foods that could be a risk factor for me in areas that are not constantly in my face. Sometimes I eat earlier than they do so I eat my food a lone which I enjoy. Then I'm not tempted to nibble on foods I serve them. I've been eating clean for several months after trying for the last 3 decades, I made these changes for health reasons my weight did need some reduction. I've lost 15 pounds with another 15 to be at my perfect weight. I recently listened to the FoodRevolution Summit and became more convicted. I'm plant based, sugar free and grain free for some time. Thank you for the risk factor sheet I think it will be helpful. I'm excited for the challenge!

Thanks , Susan, very helpful! I am experiencing lots of risk factors. It’s all about awareness on a moment to moment basis! I will write down in the evening what what my risk factors are for the next day.

This sounds so helpful, thank you! I realized as you were talking that I'm in a higher risk time for me right now, probably, and it's one more tool for our highest selves to help in talking with our other parts.

Perfect timing - had a break last weekend where my risk factors had accumulated and were very high. I got back on track as soon as I could, but eating off plan had just added to my stress and I got a cold :( Earlier today I was thinking how I didn't want food to be my solution. I LOVE this topic, thank you for addressing it!

Erica Antonetti : me too ! It is hard for me to stick with the food plans when the stress is extremely high 🥶. The voice in my head encountered me to eat more to find the pleasure. I fail and I got back on track immediately 🙏

Bright Line Eating : I fell 2 times when my stress levels were high, by eating boiled chicken, luckily I did not touch sugar nor flour at all. I broke my BLE and I got back on track immediately at the next meal. I pray that I stay on track from now 🙏. I felt so shame and guilty after each time I broke my BLE 🥶

Being in an on-plan / off-plan mentality is the problem. There is nothing wrong with you, or with food, this is not a willpower problem. As long as you are in a rules/dieting mentality it is going to keep you in food addiction forever.

Bright Line Eating: today, I just broke my BLE by eating 10 OZ of boiled chicken. My stress level is high and I ate without any control. I feel so regret after eating. I promise myself that I must be disciplined from now. I must get back on track immediately at my dinner. Try to control my cravings. Look back on my journey (30 days passed), I have broke few times by over eating veggies or fruits, luckily that I could get back on track immediately and easily therefore my weight is still good but my mental and emotional are still not calm.

Dear Susan, this is not a criticism, just important information to consider. The statistics show that suicide globally has reached epidemic proportions. On average when someone completes suicide they leave behind 6 to 10 devastated and traumatized loved ones. Which means that at any given time anyone you speak with could have lost a loved one to suicide or perhaps is suffering with sever depression themselves. The people in the business of trying to lower the statistics believe that the first thing we need to do is break down the stigma around mental illness and suicide ideation. Most people who are suicidal do not reach out because of the judgment and stigma. This of course means we need to be ever vigilant with our speech. We understand it is difficult for anyone who is not suffering with mental illness and/or who has not known someone who has died by suicide to comprehend that making a (what used to be very normal and lighthearted) comment like, “I’d be sitting in the corner with…” could cut to the core of those of us who have walked this devastating path, but trust me...these words matter. You are such an inspiration and beacon of hope to so many. I just felt with your willingness to always strive to be your best self you might want to consider this. Thank you so much.

Thank you for bringing this up. It triggered me. My 17-year-old son died by suicide, with a gun. The words stung a little, although I’m in a much better place with it now than I was three years ago when it happened. I love Susan, like beyond words, and am so grateful for the lives she is changing. Mine has been blessed tremendously by BLE. I know these kind of phrases spoken aren’t to intentionally hurt anyone. You are right though, we need to stop making light of suicidal terms. It’s a horrific thing to lose someone to suicide. Your world is never the same and you are constantly on high alert to suicidal talk. I refuse to be a person who gets offended by every little thing and understand we are all human. Everyone makes mistakes. I will keep on loving Susan and watching the weekly vlog!
