The thunder was in 90’s spider-man cartoon he was part of team with miss America, the wizzer and the destroyer. And the black marble. Captain America was the leader of the team.

The Thunderer changed the color of the costume from red to blue (the design was the same) and had stories in Daring Mystery Comics with heroes like The Fin, Challenger, Captain Daring, Silver Scorpion, Citizen V and Blue Diamond.

The great federal communications listening post is how he gets his information to fight crimes.... THIS CHARACTER IS DOPE AS HECK!!! has a network that can hear so much he isn't supposed to hear. Has a voice that is loud and cracks like thunder. He can probably have things recorded even if it can;t be used in court to let criminals know he heard every word they spoke...

@@HeroicNerd Call me crazy, but I think many of the projects the film industries do don't get publicly released... I know what your going to say. It costs to much to make a film for it not to be publicly released. I'm still going to always think that. First off the movies don't cosrt as much as they are telling you they cost, second off their are countless million and billionaires who exist, and as far as teh government goes they hide far more money than they say, so making films that may take longer to pay for themslves, but eventially will is worth it..... Saying all that, this character is dope as heck, as I imagine if eh had more stories his look would have improved as well as some concepts within the world/universe around him..

Really enjoyed this video. I remember from your 1st Thunderer video liking that it didn't take powers or even much of a gimmick to make a superhero back in the day but I like him even more now and appreciate his gimmick more too. Very clever not just changing his voice but making it more impressive too (especially added to a flash-gun); that and that radio setup you pointed out reminded me how hi-tech radio must've still been back then. And I had no idea that the man changed costumes (sort of) and names. I still prefer the Thunderer's look and story, but it was interesting to see . I'd have loved to seen a middle story explaining the change with in-universe reasons, but I don't know that they bothered to do that during the Golden Age so I won't hold my breath (maybe I'll just head-canon him as being from a parallel Earth).

You know I always felt that of all the golden age heroes the Thunderer's gimmick is so strong that it surprises me he didn't last long as a hero. I would have loved to see more adventures from Jerry but for one reason or another people simply don't resonate with him. Howver, considering his radio technology, the natural progression would have been sonic based powers like what we would see in later incarnations.

Why is red such a prominent color here both his friend and his love interest where and as the thunder his costume is red . Was red cheep then ?

The most common colors for colorist to use on superheroes are Red, Yellow, and Blue. These colors are considered Heroic and in the days of four color comic printing they were the easiest and cheapest to produce. On the other hand, the most common colors used on villains are purple, orange, and green. Apparently these colors are villainous and also happen to be harder and more expensive to produce.

Well we were at war. And it seems that every 4th house was a 5th colomist headquarters. With so many agents in the US its a wonder Germany had an army to put in the field. He has a dog? Be grateful there were only three issues Mike by the fifth would either have been forgotten to exist or turned into Thunderdog. Don't feel bad about him not coming through your window.
