yeahhhh I understand how the family feels. As an adult she has every right to distance herself, but the fact that she was so close to everyone and just left without any warning is strange. These are people that know her the best and witnessing a sudden change like that can be really confusing. Miranda looks like she's having an identity crisis. But after a while the family really needs to let her go. I don't think they're ever going to get the closure they want unless Miranda decides (on her own accord) to speak to them. I get the argument that the family making it public wasn't the best idea. They seem desperate to get their daughter back and that's hearbreaking. I just hope both parties can move on.

I went to school with Miranda and Melanie. Their dad taught geometry to a lot of my friends and while I never personally had him as a teacher, the biggest complaint about him was too much homework and the school didn't provide him with enough calculators for the whole class. He was never disrespectful to students or unkind. Dean and Kelly both worked at public schools but they had a dance studio built in their basement for Miranda and Melanie so they could practice and create whenever they wanted. They invested in the dreams of their children. Do you even KNOW how little teachers in Michigan make?! I had a class with both Miranda and Melanie. It was a performing arts class and in a room of over 100 students, they always chose to be together over hanging out with the other students in their respective grades. From what I've seen in the years we were in school together, Miranda and Melanie have always been very close, not by force, but by choice. Their parents have done everything they could to help their daughters to accomplish their dreams. Seeing this happen hurts my heart.

Understandable. September 2021 I started dating this chef opening his bar, he did catering when I was with him (as well as dd) and within a week he convinced me to quit my line cook job, move out of my family house, and dye my hair fully blonde. In my head it was normal bf/gf things bc he did it in a cute, supportive, and suggestive way. My friends said no get away but I thought "oh he's helping me grow, this is is bc I made a tiny bit more money with him, I learned how to talk to ppl and cook too, and we had party's. My friends kept telling me no he's no good, I took that as jealousy and trying to hold me down. Looking back though I wish I listened. I left him In January this yr after he tried to get me to be the "entertainment" at his chef caterings and house parties....yk what I mean. I had no where to go when I was with him, no money or car, (even though I was working with him , he would "save" the money for me to put towards a car. He said he'd help me pay half as my boyfriend bc we were still also dating as well. He controlled everything I had. Even my phone bill) he used things over me as well like videos and msgs, photos we took mad a couple. I understand how hard it would be for her or how sacred for her. Also I understand at the time I was okay with how things were going so if it is her choice I get that too. Her family has a right to be worried to me only from my experience

You would think she would just make the decision to go solo, like she did, but I don't see why she would cut Melanie out entirely over it. At the end of the day, though, they're the only ones who really know what happened. I usually have strong opinions about stories but this one truly could go either way.

It is very weird to expect your 25 year old to live with her sister and parents forever and not want marraige, not have her own account, and have a "dream life" at home with mom and dad. Also how they emphasize that nothing was wrong. The healthiest families fight, the healthy part is knowing how to resolve it. I imagine she had a VERY enmeshed life until now.
