Glad you enjoyed it! I have been told that many times that most had no idea about this part of the story. Halifax has a huge connection to the Titanic. Not just the grave sites but there is a museum in the city that has lots of artifacts. Probably the most in the world. I wasn't able to visit the museum on this trip though. Have a great day!

I've always loved the titanic I was in the parade for the commemoration of its 100th anniversary of its sinking I was dressed as a first class passenger was very young also met Gordon pinsent may he rest in piece

Great tour of the Titanic Memorial Fairview Lawn Cemetery. A very interesting video of this historical event that had such an impact on the Halifax community back then.

That’s amazing Wade. Had no idea that boats were sent out to bring back the victims, so this is so interesting. And the Unknown child - heart wrenching, but amazing that they traced who he was 90 years later!! An amazing event in our history.

How do 10% of those lost go unclaimed? Perhaps communication back then was the culprit (telegraph)? Nice headstones for those buried there. 👍

The unclaimed ones might be because a good amount of them were not even fully identified and still aren't. Many of the graves have no name on them but it was also just more difficult back then maybe for families to claim them and get them back over the ocean to Europe.
