What a sad tragedy. We all know about the titanic, but we have never looked deep into its history nor this. This is very enlightening, Wade. Well, put together. ❤️

Thank you for sharing this. Wonderful that they put headstones on all of the graves. A tragic sinking of the TITANIC, that could have been avoided! Great video Wade. 👍🏽🙏🏽🤗

Glad you enjoyed it! I have been told that many times that most had no idea about this part of the story. Halifax has a huge connection to the Titanic. Not just the grave sites but there is a museum in the city that has lots of artifacts. Probably the most in the world. I wasn't able to visit the museum on this trip though. Have a great day!

How do 10% of those lost go unclaimed? Perhaps communication back then was the culprit (telegraph)? Nice headstones for those buried there. 👍
@ExploringwithWade
@ExploringwithWade 2 жыл бұрын
The unclaimed ones might be because a good amount of them were not even fully identified and still aren't. Many of the graves have no name on them but it was also just more difficult back then maybe for families to claim them and get them back over the ocean to Europe.
