In the 70s-80s in Thailand(My Country), Kamen Rider was called "Red Ant" because in 1971 was the year that Thailand was showing Kamen Rider at the same time as Japan. But Japan has not provided details about the title and prototype of Kamen Rider. At that time, it was almost time to show the series and had to accelerate the promotion of the series in a few weeks. people on tv station So they named it "Red Ant" because Kamen Rider looks like an ant. Because TV at that time in Thailand was still black and white, they didn't know the real colors of Kamen Rider. Until today, old Thai people still call Kamen Rider "Red Ant". In conclusion, it is caused by Japan not sending complete details.

I'll admit, I really like his movies. I feel like the legal controversies overshadow his actual films, Which is a shame because of how unique they are in their aesthetics and writing. His movies can be as funny as much as they are entertaining and can be pretty cool and unique celebrations of Thai culture. It's stuff like a giant toad smoking a blunt, The psychedelic and fun visuals of HAT7U (As well as the surprisingly fun and engaging story that features both elements of Thai theater and a cool as hell final battle), and the fun insanity of Magic Lizard and HAT5KR are just a couple examples of why these films are so fun to me

As a Thai person I agree. I kinda wish there are more tokusatsu inspired movies here, after he stopped making it. There are only just a few people who follow his footsteps (not about the copyright stuff of course)

I feel like Thai Tokusatsu has its own cool style because of the inspiration it takes from both Japanese Toku and Thai folklore, Both visually and story-wise. Seeing those elements in a modern day setting would be pretty cool and entertaining as long as it has heart and love put into it

not to speak ill of the dead, but the guy was a thief of the worst kind. His career was built on illegal behavior. I don't believe he deserves ANY respect and I would HOPE the Thai film industry is embarrassed by his 'work.

~the jumborg ace review is based on the SPECIAL EDITION, the original version is much more rarer and actually contains less stock jumborg ace footage and kinda more lore and isnt as repetitive.

3:13 Although it wasn't particurally important, the version that you've just seen is an edit from 2000s, which is incorporating a lot MORE footage of Jumborg Ace series The original version is circulated on YT, but it had a bad condition (and also badly cropped) compared to this version

Great video! I think of the three "collaborations" Chaiyo did, I actually like "Jumborg Ace and Giant," the most. I do love that theme song, and I felt like I wasn't missing anything, even without subtitles, because like you said it is mostly action. Doubt it will ever happen, but it would be cool if JA&G and "Hanuman vs 7 Ultraman" got blu ray releases one day, since I'm pretty sure Tsuburaya has the rights to them now.
