Charmane was basically telling Carmella I could have had your life. She's saying Tony would have chosen her over Carmella and it was Charmane's choice not to go that route, so don't worry about me. Really cold way of getting back for that "servant treatment" Carmella gave her.

20:56 when Mikey says “hi jack, bye jack” it’s a bit of an intense innuendo because of Brenden hi-jacking the trucks lol.

i remember watching this last episode last night. the food fight scene at 14:32 is another glimpse into Tony's humanity. Nick Gomez and Mark Saraceni do a great job catching their jovial food fight while also catching Carmela's happiness to see her husband having fun

Those guys weren't exactly Junior's men. They were outsiders who were contracted to do this mock execution. I don't think they cared about what Chris was rambling about.

"What if the therapist was a man"- good question, they do discuss this later on of why he is comfortable with Melfi as opposed to someone else or a man. I dont want to spoil it, but you guys are asking some deep questions. Everything in this show builds on itself, even stuff from the first episode will be brought up later on. Good stuff guys

Not trying to say too much but theres even a huge reference to the pilot episode in the final season, which I thought was insane.

I think the paintings show that Tony is searching for meaning, and examining his feelings & thoughts (in therapy, in the paintings). At the same time, he’s afraid of the process, and suspicious “it’s a trick”, maybe he’s afraid of what he might discover about himself. It’s also important to remember that therapy is super dangerous for him in two ways. First, like anyone else in therapy, his belief that he’s basically a good person might be threatened if he looks deeper (he’s a violent criminal, a murderer, after all). He might see the rot inside, like the tree in the painting. Second, if anyone in the mob finds out, it makes him look weak, which could literally get him killed.

yes someone said it already but charmaine mentioned her relationship w tony to make it clear to carmela that they are equals and charmaine couldve had carmela’s life easily and chose not to be involved w his life his crimes and his blood money, that itself might be a dig bc shes implying that she’s better than carmela for not being complicit to tony’s evils

She is also implying that Tony only took back Carmela because Charmaine rejected him. Basically that Carmela ended up with Charmaine’s discarded leftovers.

Considering he described the tree as "spooky and rotted out" i always took it as him confronting his feelings about whats happening with jackie and the impending doom of death. When he talks about it later to melfi he says how with the cancer theres nothing you can do and no way to fight it which would be spooky to tony considering how comfortable he is with any other sort of confrontation. But even the toughest mobster cant do shit to something like cancer

That was Charmaine's way of showing her superiority to Carmela. That past the riches and power that Tony provides, he also condemns Carm to a life of hypocrisy, immorality, and suffering. A life that is inconsistent with Carm's religious beliefs and moral compass. That Carmela is the one in need of sympathy not her.

Episode 3 has so many little character intricacies that only become apparent after multiple viewings, It’s also one of a handful of episodes in the whole show where the writer & director were only used once.

As somebody who reads Superman EVERY WEEK since 1998, I really dislike All Star Superman & Superman For All Seasons. 🤷🏿‍♂️ Can’t wait for the new film. It’s time Superman achieves real, modern cinematic justice.
