Күн бұрын

This is part 1 of a 2 part video series where I cover the top 10 life-changing NLP techniques.
In this video, I explain what NLP is, and what the letters stand for. I reveal how I came across NLP, almost 30 years ago now!
I then cover 5 of the top 10 NLP techniques. These are Anchoring, Circle of Excellence, Reframing, Matching & Mirroring and Representational Systems.
If this all sounds like jargon, don’t worry, I’ll explain and simplify all the jargon in this video.
I also cover a number of NLP Presuppositions. These are the basic principles behind NLP and to life as well!
So enjoy learning about the first 5 of the top 10 NLP techniques

Delighted to have come across your channel. The anchoring and representation techniques are interesting. I have heard of anchoring some time ago.... I came across a channel for guidance 3 to 4 years ago and the woman demonstrated several techniques, stretching her leg.....something of that nature. I was moved by her enthusiasm for sharing the information. Looking forward to practicing, and following through. Thank you Paul. As far as the representation, I am grateful for the information. Cindy

Oh I do have one question...You illustrated the eye gaze going to the left or right as we see the person… Correct? But if I am the person it would be the opposite as I understand. Just confirming.

I used to use this type of thing to manipulate my boss at several different jobs…u get them to adapt ur idea but at the same time make them think it was their idea…worked every time…especially with difficult people…priceless advantage in those types of work environments lol…it became my job after the other workers saw how well it worked on on lady…she was so full of fire that u couldn’t help but like her and admire her but damn! When she came in to work and had a certain look on her face…oh boy! The day was going to be rough! I wonder if she ever figured out what I did lol…we had much better days once we figured her out lol

Question: When doing creative visualization should a person move their eyes to the left to help in creating a reality? Excellent content, subscribed, from sunny Florida.
@SelfHelpforLife
@SelfHelpforLife 3 жыл бұрын
Great question Ettenaej! If you want to access visual images when visualizing, then yes, moving your eyes to the left will help. However, I always encourage people to bring in sounds and feelings too, which would be harder to do with your eyes up and to the left. Personally, I've never thought about the position of my eyes when visualizing, so I don't think it make much difference, and it's also one more thing to think about! Hope this helps. Enjoy the Florida sun!

I wonder why the most prominent nlp practitioners didn't or couldn't practice the techniques they were teaching others and apply it to themselves. Richard bandler for many many years was obese. As were some of the other main practitioners which for me demeans nlp. I never gave nlp a proper chance because of this. There was always a severe lack of authenticity with Bandler. But some of the techniques are effective. Its a strange one
@rexjantze296
@rexjantze296 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I've had a similar weariness with Bandler, et al, who say they eat rich foods and smoke because they are choosing to. My NLP teacher in Portland was studying under Michael Hall until she found out how much of an asshole he was to many students. So I, too, don't get it. Qualities of leadership and influence was suppose to be the goals of this work.

My approach is to try out NLP (and other techniques) with a sense of curiosity and see what works best for me. I'm sure the most prominent NLP practitioners use the techniques on themselves, but perhaps not always in all areas of life.
