The roar of the crowd cheering on their home team. It's now or never. The batter must make a play at the plate to keep the team's winning hopes alive. The windup. The crack of the bat. The sight of the baseball soaring high into the sky. The roar of the crowd getting louder and louder, like a musical crescendo. The outfielder charging toward the fence. The baseball soaring past the fence, like a white fire untamed. The ball landing in the sea of the crowd. The crowd erupting into applause unmatched by any cheer uttered by man.
