We love you Dad Cornstar !!! We think you and Mama Cornstar have done a wonderful job with you children . They learned at ear to age to love farming. I think it is so neat that you have generational farm . And now you and Cole and Cooper are all working together on the farm . I think you father would be so proud .

DC, I know you love to read the comments. I am very concerned about anyone getting on that bin, it is extremely unsafe! If you absolutely have to go up there you really need to be strapped into a safety harness and tethered. Put a couple cameras in the bin so you know how much capacity it it has. Just one bad move and it’s going to be tragedy on your farm. Don’t put your family in that position, they need you! Please get someone out there to secure the railings, catwalks and build tether points. If something happens to you, or one of your boys the pain left behind will be unbearable.

I didn’t have a dad growing up. At the age of 10 my “ex” step-grandfather (he and my grandmother had gotten divorced) a man who had no blood relation to me, and didn’t need to deal with me, stepped seeing the path I was headed down, moved me down to his small farm and helped me see what a father was and raised me how I feel daddy cornstar raises his kids. He shaped me into the man I am today. Every day that man is referred to as my dad never grandpa and in my eyes will always be my dad. You don’t have to be blood to someone to care about them and treat them with respect. Always be the daddy cornstar or stand in fathers kids need and this world will always be better for it!!!!

This a true American family with the old values that built America. Common Sense, unfortunately is not so common anymore. People have forgotten what it means to wear it out, fix-it up make it work and make do. This has become a throw away society. My grandparents and parents tried to make sure I knew how to have a successful and fruitful life. I think they succeeded. I'm now retired after working with my hands for fifty yrs. Unfortunately I don't see many young people coming up that want to do the hard work. They want to sit at a computer all day. But they don't want repair that computer. They feel that's beneath them.

There’s a funny story I have about shut the tractor off when there’s a problem my brother was out dragging with the old Farmall W4 and my dad had him driving as my was working getting the planter. He told him shut it off if there’s any problems. Well my dad looked over and my brother was bottom out and the tires are just spinning in the mud.

How you treated and treat your boys is quite similar how my dad was with me, he never raised his voice, but got his point across to me in a mild manner, he never brought past mistakes up, and that is how I treat my kids, even though I stopped farming, in my construction business I try yo do as my father did with me, I tell my boys mistakes will be made, there is nothing we can't fix, and the only way we will learn what not to do and why. It's always a pleasure to watch you all working together brings back memories for me, been almost 11yrs since my father past and I still think I wish I could discuss things with him, thanks for being who you guys are, GREAT PEOPLE.

DC, please watch Coles last video with you on top of the corn bins and think of these 5 most important things about farming! Common sense! If you have that feeling that you shouldn’t be up there with flopping railing and leaping from landing to landing then listen to your common sense! Walk away! Don’t go back up there until everything is fixed and somewhat OSHA approved! Mechanical skills - if it’s broke, it needs fixed! Math skills- terminal velocity is the same from 10 feet high or 80 feet high. The fall doesn’t kill ya, the stopping does! People skills- we would be really happy to have you continue to use your people skills in KZbin videos and not spending time in the hospital after a fall!! Please be careful, listen to your common sense, practice walking away, if it’s loose on a tractor it gets fixed- if it’s loose at the top of the corn bin- get it fixed. Do the math and we look forward to seeing you on the next video! ZZ Mark
