Fun fact: when you explained which walls are straight and which ones aren’t, it looked (at least for me) on camera the other way round. Your theory that it had originally been 2 houses connected later on makes sense.

It’s was definitely multiple separate structures that were connected. I’d bet the coral was added then they decided to connect it. With an existing door into the coral, they would hav3 had to angle the snug exterior wall to make it work - or move the coral door, which would have added a lot of work.

Thank you. Under the terms of our restoration project, the outside of the building can't be changed plus smaller windows are much better to keep the place cool in summer and warm in winter, whilst retaining the original character of the building , which is one of the reasons we bought it.
