Day 30, never looking back. I feel my life is improving on many fronts all at once, most notably reduced anxiety, spending less time glued to the screen and sex with my wife has gotten much more enjoyable. I have your videos to thank for this and I can hardly begin to tell you just how grateful I am.

I have unhealthy behaviors of coping and avoidance (social media, games, tv, fantasy and porn). I never had a healthy social life -- long before Internet porn or puberty. I would play by myself every day with action figures and toys. As I got older it became more about gaming. But I still had the desire to socialize so I started chatting with people in online chat rooms and game forums. Regarding sex I started out just masturbating, then moved onto pictures as broadband didn't exist yet, and eventually video. My parents never enrolled me in sports or any activities outside of school. I never made friends, I never dated, and eventually I wasn't able to be around people to even work or go to school. My father barely acknowledged my existence from the time I was little. My mom was highly anxious and pleased that she never had to worry about me being away from home. Blaming porn for everything seems to miss a much bigger picture of what is happening. All of my coping/avoidance activities are passive. I have tried to socialize but I am either awkward and make people uncomfortable or I try to be cool and make people think I'm boring/shy/arrogant. I'm above average attractiveness and I've been physically fit my whole life (fitness is a great solo activity). I recognize my life as maladaptive, but think that it may be too late to learn and read social norms. Even touch itself, eye contact, or close proximity makes me feel uncomfortable around people.

Hy I have a question, but I don't where to post it for ot to reach you? I'll leave my guestion here but if there is a better place for it please tell me (or someone else from the comments) My guestion is: you've talked about how masturbation using fantasy, while a bit better, still has negative effects comparable to masturbating to porn. In a (somewhat) recent study it has been proven that a man that orgasms at least 21 times in a month, has a significant lower chance to develop prostate cancer. Now alot of men don't have a partner that is active enough for the man to be able to orgasm 21+ times, or have a partner at all. So how would you recommend for men to still be able to masturbate while keeping the harming effects to a minimum?
@DrTrishLeigh7 ай бұрын
Hi friend! Thank you for reaching out. The risks of masturbating are far worse than any benefits you can get from it. I'm not sure where you got that statistic from, but feel free to check out my website drtrishleigh.com/ or yourbrainonporn.com

How 'bout decriminalizing rape or conscripting heterosex ? By watching porn, you don't need to have sex again. You can literally make women obsolete! If only women had value. Booze doesn't trick you or use the law against you. Unlike women, booze doesn't wear short skirts or lipstick to then say "NO BOOZE for you" If only women could be like booze!!!
