And like you said, want your eyes to have a different shape in appearance? Uses makeup or eyeliner! Seriously, guyliner is sexy as hell. I'm a 17 year old boy. I think 12 - 18 is a difficult timeframe for anyone regardless since teenagers are incredibly judgemental as it is. I got into the looksmaxxing community about 4 months ago and have been following their steps. Most of it is just basic hygiene and self-care, which I was aware of, so facial attractiveness and things alike was the content I focused on the most. I'd say I'm a lot more of a sorted and calm guy compared to my peers, but I've noticed that my taller peers are given more attention. I wanted to make up for my dislikeable height in a way by looksmaxxing. My mental health took a dive because I was so focused on how I didn't fit in the box of "attractiveness" but I never really stopped to think about where it originated from. One guy with some very clear mental issues paired with women hating incels making a trend to help them "get women" and whatever else is such an obvious ridiculous thing, but me and many other young men have fallen victim to it. I really appreciate you making this video. It helped me to realise how silly the whole thing is and how it puts people into boxes that aren't really human. It's a WASTE OF TIME. To any young guys who fell into the same trap I did (this applies to girls too), don't. While there are things you can do to make yourself better, like working out, having a skincare routine, etc, you're still growing. You're not fully developed and your body hasn't finished forming yet. There is absolutely no need to hyperfixate on appearance right now. Attractiveness is also subjective! That's why preferences exist. People your age probably don't want commitment and love like you do. The majority are shallow and ALSO haven't developed mentally OR physically. Don't waste time listening to the opinions of people who have a warped view of things. Your time will come. Love yourself and focus on becoming the best version of you based on what YOU want, not what the media tells you to strive for.

Thanks, brother. I needed this ❤ and I am the same age as you. Am struggling with accepting how I look, but I will not let it affect me too much

I'm 17 and that's 1000% a you problem. You saw these videos and your interpretation is completely different from mine. We don't all look at the same video and start hating ourselves. Even if I don't fit into the "attractive" bracket of guys, I don't really care. You care, why do you care about your looks so much? It's becuase you're insecure. Who made you insecure?was it the looks maxxer or your inability to fit YOUR own standards. You want attention from girls, and you failed. The first thing you blamed it on (based on your comment) was your height/looks. Why was it like that?take responsibility bro, at our age we are no longer babies. We are almost adults who can literally vote, marry and even have a great influence in our community. We are not the same as people who just started highschool. Stop blaming others for your own inadequacies.

My son is in middle school and I realized he was seeing this stuff and it was making him feel less than the wonderful kid that he is.. He started asking for things to help "fix his jaw" and what not.. At first I thought he was just trying to have good hygiene and was just wanting to wash his face more until I realized the specific things he was asking for was exactly what these influencers were advertising that men needed to look attractive. I'm totally okay with him learning about hygienic/healthy tips and working hard to stick with that routine. I see benefits in that. But some of the Looksmaxxing trends he is seeing online from this community can be really harmful. I see it causing more insecurities in him and causing him to feel crappy about his facial features he will always have and can't change without surgery or fillers. Taking care of yourself is one thing, but it seems as though the younger crowd is seeing ALL of the trends thrown at them, and thinking "I need to change this about myself" instead of empowering them to love their bodies and take care of them in a healthy way. Being told that they have to fix A, B, and C, about themselves for status and attraction is ridiculous, and can be really damaging. @@ppmaks668

5:37 The thing about canthal tilt is interesting, because it's also been used as a way of appropriating traits that are more common in specific racial groups. Higher canthal tilt (from what I've read) is more common in East Asian peoples. Add the eugenics that sometimes play into the darker side of some looks-based circles, and you have some people telling their audiences that they should get specific traits of some groups... while also telling you those groups are inferior and ugly. It's definitely not everybody in the looksmaxxing community, but it's worth noting, considering most communities have their extremists.

i've been in maxillofacial orthodontics treatment for over 15 years, worn braces and a bunch of other devices (scarily similar to mew's torture contraptions lol) to fix my bite, i even got double jaw surgery in 2020 and the reasons were purely medical (i didn't have a severe underbite, just an underdeveloped arch to my maxillary bones but in the long time it would cause me health problems)... now i can bite perfectly and breathe way better. i had to do a lot of similar exercises to re-'activate' my MUSCLES but not even this type of surgery, thats basically correcting the same thing these guys are talking about will change your jawline because like you said... weight, face structure and genetics are the MAIN player on how your face looks.
