Another good reference video on this topic, which you don't think about every day. I feel the shifter becomes totally intuitive. Only some manœuvres require to know how to proceed, like keeping the car in N while parked. I have used it several times, this is why I remember how it works, otherwise I would have ignored this operation !

Thanks for the video 😊 NX450 was my first automatic transmission vehicle. I had never ever thought that the shifter is badly designed or cause any problems while driving. It’s very intuitive for me.

Great that you find it easy to use. I've heard feedback from many that they don't like this shifter. They prefer traditional shifters over this one. 🤷🤷

THANK YOU for explaining how to get out of neutral at the car wash! Should be part of the basic Lexus instruction but it is not. Much appreciated!

i like the cars in the 70s,80s90s, where all of them are the same, clutch gearshift, and pull stick parking/handbrake. Automatic gearshift also uses the same pull stick parking break. When i still stayed with my family, we have 6 different brand of cars and all drive the same... today i own only 2 cars, and each time i got into either one, i have to recall and remind myself of these steps bcoz both cars are different. it's frustrating it made me the became the "back in my days..." old man...

It is super easy to use. Like it much better than the push button system on Honda/Acura.

The car wash is my nightmare. It takes me forever to put in neutral and then I panicked trying to put it in drive again🤷🏽♀️

You'll have to try it when you don't have pressure. Once you get used to it, it is not that hard.

Could you PLEASE do a video on how to change to a crystal gear shift knob in the 2024 Lexus TX350❣️❣️❣️
@lsft29 күн бұрын
I can do a quick video on how to remove the shifter knob. I don't have the crystal gear shifter to show how to install it, but I think once it's removed you know how to put the shifter knob in.

I had to laugh when I saw this - I was one of those people that bought a NX 450h+ without driving it first. I traded in a 12 year old Prius. I instantly felt right at home.

I guess you won't have any problems with this one.

Nice video. Can you do one on the shifter interaction with parking brake? Example if we leave it N, engage parking, etc.. go to D, engage parking, etc..

I think it much safer because if u leave off the brake but your door is open it will automatically shift back into park. Moreover, u won’t hear the sounds that they put into gears

Have you tried it? I didn't try it as I'm close to a wall.

@@lsft yes I did and it automatically shift into park immediately once u leave off ur brake and ur seatbelt is unbuckled

I had my NX 450h+ for 4 weeks now, I like the design of the gear shifter BUT … Toyota and Lexus missed the opportunity to correct the shifting position, logically pushing the shifter forward to drive and pulling the shifter back to reverse , what we have now is pushing forward to reverse, pulling backward to go forward 😮 do you see the dilemma here ? 😂
@lsft6 ай бұрын
Haha, but you know that this shifter has been used in the Prius for many many years. If they change it now, some drivers will drive the wrong way because they are so use to it. I do think it was purposely designed this way to make you think which way you are shifting rather than the common sense way. 😂😂

We have had our NX350h for a few weeks now. The shifter is very easy to get used to, but it could be simpler like Volvo

I guess implementation could be different for all brands. This one has been available for a long time. Just a bit smaller this time.

I love the shifter. So easy and intuitive. What I really struggle with is the cruise control. How do you change between the adaptive cruise control and the regular cruise control?LSFT I’ve seen you do this on video, but I can’t figure out which controls to touch in order to make this happen? Can you help me?

Why are idiots getting confused on shifting, so straight forward
@lsft9 ай бұрын
It takes time to get used to it. Especially for some who have driven cars for 40 years. But I wouldn't call them an idiot. Gotta watch what you say. 😝
