@@Colorado_Native In this specific case yes, but the reason they ask for suspects to open the door by sticking your arms out the window and opening the door handle is so they can see the suspects hands the entire time. Vs dropping a hand or both hands below the window-line where you could easily reach for a handgun in the door pocket.

That's a Mazda 3 sedan, but afro's will often swap out the emblem (in this case to Toyota) to throw off the police. They do similar things with street signs in their neighborhoods. They swap out the street signs to throw off the cops. It's very common in the afro community. You guys should know this by now. Cmon now.

That's a Toyota Yaris iA. They only sold them in the US for 2 years, 2017-2018. It is a rebadged Mazda 2. That's a large part of why it was able to survive multiple pits. It's a slow econobox, but it handles really nicely for an econobox. Mazda engineered some zoom-zoom into the suspension. Unfortunately, they didn't put any zoom-zoom in the engine. After several PIT attempts, the officer didn't feel like it anymore and rammed the suspect's vehicle, rendering it inoperable - something like that has to happen sometimes! In the end I was really amazed that it was a K-9 Tahoe. Canine was so calm, I've never experienced anything like that - very experienced dog, well done. Appreciate you work!

And it was the right call - many modern newer cars have inertial cutoff switches for the fuel pump that triggers when a hard enough hit is registered. In some cases it's when an airbag goes off that the car shuts itself off. A safety function to prevent a running engine that can't be turned off in a severe accident.

Unfortunately, made it difficult in a frenzy to try to get his daughter out of the backseat because the door wouldn’t open from the outside due to the electronic locks.

Don't underestimate the Toyota corolla. They may not have the best 0-60 times, but man are they light on their feet. I've beaten many friends in my 99 5 speed manual corolla. Not because its fast, but i can corner a hell lot faster then they can even though they have 200 horsepower more than me.. Its a light nimble car, plus they are mechanically tough as hell. In a straight away though, a 6 second 0-60 with 320,000 miles on the odometer isn't going to cut it.
