WAIT, what's this? Only one week and a new Roy and Aimee video? With our normal 9-5's taking up so much time, we decided that if we wanted to upload more than once a month, we'd need to get some help. So we've hired a fabulous video editor - and with their help, we've got our eyes set on uploading more regularly! What did everyone think of Gujo Hachiman? It's officially our favorite town in Japan! 😍

EPIC video guys, loved every minute of it! 👏👏👏The drone shots, the slow-mo shots, it felt like I was there with you on the trip! I miss Japan SO much!! The van looks so great for working from and Gujo Hachiman looks so beautiful, would love to visit sometime! 😃

You guys are awesome. I'm jealous of your slow travel shenanigans. Having to drive around and search for internet for work would be pretty annoying though. I think your channel will be a lot bigger someday. Maybe in a year.

Wow thank you for your lovely comment! It means a lot 😊 Yeah we were trying to juggle being in a cooler, higher altitude spot and getting good Internet so it was a little bit more tricky. Now that it’s cooler, we can be down in the main towns in the valleys so getting fast Internet is a lot easier.

I quite fortuitously came across your channel and have enjoyed watching several of your uploads. Do you really enjoy living in a van, or this is a way to save $ to continue living in a very expensive country? Your uploads are very comprehensive and informative. I find that Roy is a typical Aussie bravado type; i.e., straightforward and crude, but Aimee seems very well-rounded. I will watch some more of your uploads and let you know! By the way, I am from eastern Canada and lived in Japan for many years.

Thank you for watching and leaving a comment! 🇨🇦 So we actually live in our van part time at the moment. We both have full time jobs with offices in Tokyo and having our own set of wheels that doubles as our accomodation was the best way for us to be able to work all week and then do impromptu travel every weekend. We can also work out of the van when we go quite far from home (Tokyo). So for us it’s more about travel convenience and flexibility rather than keeping costs low :) Although we have spent a good amount of time doing budget campervanning around Japan, and it’s pretty effective too! Also glad to hear the personalities are coming out on camera 😉

As usual, an excellent quality video by you guys, a bit of fun, very cinematic and very watchable. So many places to see in Japan!! Down to less than 1 year now before we head that way, can't wait. Oh by the way, we quite rated the curry flavoured Noodle Cups you had in previous videos :)

Hi guys, definitely a nice surprise getting another video from you so soon, cool decision hiring an editor. I can certainly see why this has become your favourite town in Japan, what a beautiful place and there looks like there’s a lot to do and see. As always your drone and video shots are amazing and really give us the opportunity to experience in a little way what you do. Great to see that the van worked well for your daily work routine as well, fantastic that you are able to get the work/life balance more to your liking. Looking forward to seeing where you’ll show everyone next, autumn is here now in England/UK and we’ve had some lovely blue sky days with a slight chill in the air, my perfect kind of weather. Safe travels and best wishes to you 😊

Hello! Glad it was a nice surprise 😊 We’re still figuring things out with the work/life balance but it’s leaning a bit more towards life now, which is nice. Thanks heaps for your kind comments on the video! I remember you saying it was quite a wet summer there, so nice to hear there’s some blue sky days now. I (Aimee) also love autumn so can agree with you there about the perfect kind of weather! 😆 How about winter - do you usually get snow where you are? Have a lovely week!

@@RoyandAimee hiya guy mys, thank you for the nice reply. Great to hear that things are leaning more towards the life balance, I think I can be very easy to forget that we need time off to ourselves at times. Yeah the summer has been rather wetter this year after a couple of really hot ones. Winters here tend to vary too, we had a really snowy period a few years ago which made getting around interesting foe a about a week! Lol 😆 the last few years haven’t been too harsh so I suppose we could be due a colder than usual one. Have a great week as well.

@@clownearound5751 haha I’m imagining everyone slip, sliding around on the snowy paths 😆 It can become a different world in winter.

@@RoyandAimee haha yes there’s usually plenty of slipping and sliding about. It does make me laugh at times as it feels like parts of the country literally shut down at the first sign of snow flakes sometimes lol 😆
