Between 2-6 years?! He stole this beautiful girls life and he only has to be in jail for 2-6 years?! She deserved so much better and I hope her family gets more closure somehow. It is so upsetting that he hurt her so much and they didn’t see this as murder, and even if it was an accident, he didn’t care about hurting her or he would have stayed with her.

Yes agreed. It is a disgraceful sentence. He deserved so many more years in prison. He bought a gun and pointed it at the girl who had just left him and gotten a restraining order. How is that not a planned murder? He loaded that gun up. He knew there was a round in the chamber. He had to have known.

To ALL domestic abuse suffers.. If you're being told you're "not good enough" you're "ugly, fat, useless" then you are being abused. You do not have to be hit, kicked, punched to be abused. Verbal abuse can and does leave life long scars. If you are suffering from any form of abuse, please get help, get out, leave. You will be so much better off without that person. I have been all kinds of abused my entire life but you don't know when you're a child and almost all of my mental problems come from two very toxic people I grew up with and the rest have come from so called "friends", an evil ex and my mom's piece of shit husband. Some days you really need this. I never liked her husband because he says everything is a joke when he's clearly being an asshole, and that's the least of it..

She never walked away from him. The only thing she walked away from was getting shot, and only cuz she was in shock. I'm sure that if not for the shock she would've wanted to be with him until her dying breath, even if he had shot her on purpose (just cuz, if you're dying, you wanna be around people you love, cuz its what's most comforting) but instead of at least staying with her and making her comfortable, he dumped her in his neighbor's driveway, alone, and ran. So fucking sad for her.

@@elypowell6797 I don’t think she was willing to die for him. She was attempting to get away and I’m sure was having a hard time or was tricked into going there which is possible based on the girl who stayed with her lying about the situation. If you’ve ever been in a toxic relationship with domestic violence involved it’s incredibly hard to leave the person. It defies all logic, you know you should leave and deserve better, but don’t. The most dangerous time for those in domestic violence situations is right after they do leave though, which fits this case.

I’m a survivor of domestic abuse also and one day he almost killed me. There are words sang by Michael Franti written by Bob Marley years ago that really apply” Don’t fear the night time...No..cause the Monsters know that you’re Divine!” Always know you’re own worth and don’t accept bruises for love. And don’t believe that you are anything but absolutely DIVINE. All love and positive vibes to you.🥰❤️🙏

Yes I agree with you. I do not feel this was done as an accident. He should have known he had a round chambered in that gun. It was his gun and he must have loaded it so he would have known he had actually chambered a round too. I believe he bought that gun after she left him with the intention of killing her. He should have gotten more than manslaughter. The others that left and covered for him should have gotten charged as accessories after the fact. They covered for him at the start of the investigation. They carried the victim out and left her on the neighbor's driveway. They didn't let the police in the house. The women who were Jermaine's sisters probably cleaned up blood in the house. If they did that that would be destroying evidence. The police should have checked if any blood at the scene had been cleaned up. They could have sprayed the luminol stuff around and looked for any evidence they had just been cleaning.

@NikkiC777 3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I think after the sentence has already been decided it is too late? I think they can't change it now because that would probably be considered double jeopardy. I am not completely sure though about that. I know He definitely can't be tried twice for the same crime though. He definitely deserves a much longer sentence. In my opinion they really messed up just charging him with manslaughter to begin with.

and reminder that there are non-physical forms of abuse as well! if someone is telling you what you can and can’t do, who you can and can’t hang out with, etc. beyond reasonably not wanting you to do anything dangerous and not wanting you to hang out alone with your long term recent ex, that’s abuse. if someone is talking down to you and making you feel like they’re the only person who would ever “stoop low enough” to date you, and that you should be grateful you have them, that’s abuse. if you have to let them know of your whereabouts 24/7 and need permission to do basic things like go hang out with your family, that’s abuse. and much more. plus- abuse basically never gets better, it just escalates. please get out while you can. you deserve better.

It’s not really cruel they did it out of necessity to try to ensure that they get justice for their daughter, had they told the parents then they would in all likelihood tell someone else extended family, neighbours that see them distraught etc. Then they tell someone else until word gets back to the suspects and their plan fails and they potentially never get evidence and the killer goes unfound. I’m sure the parents would much rather be told a little later and find their child’s killer than be told straight away and never get the truth.

@NikkiC777

I think he knew too. He loaded that gun up so he would have had to know he had chambered a round. I think he bought that gun after she left him and got the restraining order. The police would have taken it from him when they served him with the order if he had had it before. He got it after with the intention of killing her. He bought it from some random guy so he didn't need to get a background check. I think the fact that he had just barely gotten the gun after she left him kind of shows intent. So they should have gone for more than manslaughter. They should have at least gone for 2nd degree murder. In my opinion. Also the others should have gotten charged as accessories too. They carried her out and left her in the driveway, also they wouldn't cooperate with the police and probably cleaned up the crime scene.

Totally agree. There may be others, but Eleanor is my first in this minimalist format. And I love how for every video, she seems to be super invested, reflected in her inflection in the narration. And how the victims, and their backstories, are always the main focus as much as possible.

It’s not unusual for ugly men to get pretty women and then abuse them. It’s a game they play to see if they can get someone out of their class so they’re charming and sweet at the beginning. Unlike men, women aren’t generally that concerned about looks but rather how someone treats them. She was so in love with him and afraid of him afterwards she was trapped. He revealed the real demon he was - who the hell pulls out a gun and presses it against someone in jest? And he didn’t know there was a bullet in the chamber and he’s a gang member? He’s handled guns before, he knew what he was doing and he was angry at the thought of losing his grip on her.Come on!!!

I remember when I would hang out with them they would argue about something and then he would grab a pocket knife and pin her to a wall and threaten her right in front of me. I told my mom about all of this and we had my sister live with us and we all decided to move away. I was so young at the time and didn’t realize that it was horrible of him to do that to my sister. I am thankful that my mother got her away from him and saved our lives. I pray that people don’t have to deal with abusive partners.
