Buddy Scott, I love your passion for representing Jessica. Jessica wasn't the only person who suffers, look at the parents. There is a movie the Lovely Bones that touches on such acts, from the view of the dead girl. The way the man discarded her like a piece of trash. But, in the end an ice cicle falls from a tree and the evil man falls over a cliff discarded like a piece of trash. Now that would be just for any evil person that would do such an evil thing.

@sandydog42610 ай бұрын
I work with children who are victims of abuse. Most of my clients' offenders don't see jail time, or if they do, it is often 10 years or less. Most District Attorneys won't take a case to trial unless there is physical or other solid evidence, because "he said, she said" often isn't enough to bring to sway a jury, unfortunately. So most of the offenders get a plea deal or their case gets dropped entirely due to lack of evidence.

So sad, I remember this case so clearly. I’m from Jacksonville Florida, so it was big news. While you are in Florida, if you are, you should research Somer Thompson. She was a little girl from my hometown Orange Park Fl. She was walking home from school one day with her twin brother and older sister. She separated from them and was kidnapped by a punk named Jarred Harrell. She was raped, killed, and dumped in a landfill in GA. This happened in October 2009. I knew her mother and my son went to the same school, but he was a couple years younger. Jarred lived in a house right down the street from the house I grew up in. We petitioned to have it torn down and it was. Now there is a small garden in Somer’s memory. That scum got away with a life sentence plus 180 years or something along those lines. I pray constantly that he is being well taken care of by the convicts in the FL DOC!! After this happened, me and a group of friends started an organization called NPFP (No Peace For Predators)

I remember this like it was yesterday. She was taken right out of the home. The dolphin she was buried with had been won at a fair the weekend before. The police knew his confession wouldn't be admissible, but they opted for a confession hoping to find her alive. Geraldo Rivera engraciated himself to the dad to get the story as it played out. When she was found, her dad came out to speak to the press saying, "Jessie's home." Heartbreaking.

This poor little girl what she went through. It makes me sick and sad and brings me to tears thinking about it. They were so close in finding her before it was too late, and it just wasn't meant to be. I will never understand why. NEVER. I am a person with a strong faith in God but to try and understand why these things happen to children is just incomprehensible to my little human mind. Her father was such a good dad to her, and I can only imagine the grief he will forever go through. He worked hard to make changes in the laws though that will forever honor his little girl while protecting so many other children too. I don't know how you could do this story and get through it Scott because it's barely even possible to listen to it without breaking down. God bless you for doing it though because this little girl's life was worth so much more than the way this creep left her. I know she is in a good place now and that's probably the only consolation to what happened to her. I pray her father is doing ok and can take comfort in knowing that he did the best he could for as long as she lived and even afterwards. He will see her again one day. RIP Jessica, my heart is broken for what happened to you ❤💐😥
