Just got a 2024 Sport S with manual transmission. Only one manual in all of Phoenix metro, almost had to go out of state and pay more sales tax. Here in Arizona, if you trade in a car, you pay the sales tax on the difference, potentially saving thousands, I think a few states do that, it was new to me coming from California. It is black, didn’t really want that, but now it’s winter and cool and I’m looking the black sleek color. Already got some Fuel 17x9 with Nitto Recon Grapplers in 35s on order for next week, installed RC contour drop sets, got some morimoto sealed 7 lights and renegade led tail lights, didn’t have LED package which was fine, so many aftermarket options for lights and everything. I suggest upgrading one or two things at a time and enjoy it. Last year for a manual gladiator and 3.6 V6. I was thinking to get the base base out of state with the roll up windows lol, but having the nicer wrapped steering wheels, heated seats, power windows, probably for the best. Out of state would have ended up paying the same for the Sport S. $49k MSRP plus $2k dealer options, $51k total, got it for $39k plus tax licenses. Got good price for trade in and paid a few thousand cash for the exchange. Loving it!

This is my experience with the windshield on my 2021 Wrangler. I drove it 3 years without having to replace it. I had a couple of chips that got sealed but did not crack. Then I got a chip that spread to a crack quickly. I opted for Gorilla glass as a replacement for the original glass early this year. I caught a "boulder", well a big rock, from an unknown vehicle on the highway after less than 2 months. The crack spread across the driver side of the windshield instantly and across the rest of the windshield by the next day. I opted to go back to OEM Jeep windshield. So, 3 years with no replacement and less than one year with the 2nd windshield replacement. So far, so good. That seems about par for the course with other vehicles that I have owned. PS- I love my Wrangler EcoDiesel. I have 65,000 miles on it.

My jeep has the 2inch mopar lift, 35 inch BFG KO2s, and a 12000 pound winch. I have gotten stuck once but my winch pulled me out. 18 inches of fresh wet snow had bent many, many trees over the steep road. I went over some, around some and under some but there were several large trees at windshield height, so i decided - enough, and tried to turn around. I got stuck cross ways on the steep road, but i used my winch to skid myself in the right direction, locked up the front and rear axles and esaed my self up the road.

Im thinking about getting a rubicon gladiator (either used or new) I’m gonna use it for everything from daily drive to back country hunting! Never had Jeep before! My ultimate plan is to have bed top tent and mild overlanding equipments! I know there is no more diesel engine for the new ones, but I think a used diesel one may give me some advantage in fuel economy, and more torque but I’m not sure about reliability and durability of diesel engines and will appreciate your opinion and expertise. Thanks man!
@Jason-Samko3 күн бұрын
The diesel in the gladiator has mixed reviews but everyone i know with one has high miles and loves it. The pentistar is also a great motor. Can't go wrong either way in my opinion. The pentistar gets the edge for cheap maintenance and repair. But the diesel gets the nod for mpg loaded and torque

At 6'3" I'm guessing you might have enough leg room -- seems to be a lot of it (for me) -- but you might hit the back of your head on the cabin-light/sound-bar above you, depending on how far the seat is slid back and the angle you have the seat back & headrest at. I don't think the seat really goes that far back though -- if you're a big guy, it may be a little tight/close to the steering wheel but if you're skinny/normal weight maybe not. I have the seat all the way back in my Gladiator and it's fine for me but I'm only 6' even. If you go to a dealership and look at a Gladiator, you'll see what I mean about the overhead sound bar possibly being an issue for really tall drivers so that should be one of the first things you check out -- and you can only do it in-person as you have to actually be in the seat to find out. Good luck, -- BR

I wish I'd have seen this video from you before Deb and I rented the Grand Cherokee for our trip to the Mainland prior to flying back to the Mainland. Had I seen this video, I'd have shown it to Deb. Had she seen it, I'll bet she would have said "YES!" to paying $1,500 more for a "rental" Gladiator than for the rental Grand Cherokee we had. The "catch"--which we both considered was my having told Deb, "If we're going to spend $3,500 plus for a rental Jeep for two months, let's buy a new Gladiator from.....(in Utah) and ship it back to Molokai when you're ready to fly home." Deb, an accountant by education, quickly axed that thought! She saw through my logic!! On the other hand, Jason, had we had this video prior to our trip, which, of course, was not the case, you and I could have closed the deal on Deb and I getting a new Gladiator in 2024! Great job as always! If I were running Jeep's marketing department, I'd offer you whatever it took to have you come to work for Jeep! As always thanks again! It's nice being home. Of course, it would be an even nicer trip in a 2024 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon we bought at $15,000 off sticker. (I did check with Matson: They'd have picked the Gladiator up from the dealership in Spanish Fork, Utah and shipped it to Honolulu for us. Their charge would have been $2,445.00.) As I said, had you been available for advice, you and I would have closed that deal! Aloha & Mahalo from Molokai, Andy McKane, 20 November 2024.
