A few times I hear Josh and Scott mention that they talk too much about politics in a market podcast, but in this podcast you constantly mention how money, markets and politics are interconnected. In my opinion, the United States is in the current impasse largelly due to money or rather the astronomical accumulation of cash in a few hands that dominates everything and influincing. A big word salad as Scott would say to say not to put the political aspect aside, because I believe that the United States is in this position and one does not work without the other. Really another very interesting interview. More room for young voices. Great job @The Prof G Show - Scott Galloway

I am in the niche business of handpainted RX eyewear frames … I will gift my business to scott if he does not go into business with me before , because I have no children and no one to leave it to ! That is how much I think of his openness and positive influence on me and his unrelenting attempts to fix the downtrending American psyche … prof. scott discusses it all the time and demonstrates so much humility and desire to elevate the human spirit …

I don't think the people complaining about how much you guys discuss politics represent the majority of your listeners. I for one appreciate it, although I don't always agree with your political stances. Also, it's your podcast. You discuss what you want. Also, Kayla's thoughts on the necessity of courage for career advancement is spot on. People who focus on the American dream seem to forget that the dream wasn't just premised on hard work, but also courage. Just about any work that people associate with the American Dream back in the day (steel work, factory work, mining) used to be pretty dangerous and mostly available to the able bodied. Today joining the military is probably the most straightforward and consistent way for young people from the working and middle classes to advance in society. It can be a dangerous choice, but the GI Bill, the Thrift Savings Plan, and the leadership experience available through the military can really launch a young person's trajectory. At 41, I attribute a lot of the personal and professional success I have had to my time in the US Army back in my early and mid 20s.

Less growth opps for people who are not already rich, higher prices on everyday consumables, terrible housing market for buyers/renters. 1. I'm conservative, but I thoroughly enjoy Scott's business talks and market analysis/perspectives. Even his more progressive ideas I enjoy for a different perspective. 2. The Trump & Hitler/Fascist comparisons are intellectually dishonest. We've already lived through a full term; his ideas are nowhere close to a Nazi Germany, and if they were the markets would act accordingly. 3. Scott nails the demographic of the shooter to a T, we need to keep tabs on young isolated men. Still love Scott, but he has a blind spot with Trump and Elon at times.

Trump is a loud mouth strong man that values loyalty over competency, whichever way you put it. Elon is simply a moron (have you heard him speak?) that has somehow tricked people into thinking he's a high IQ genius. Both have common ground in their ability to fail upward. It's quite uncanny, actually. There's no other CEO or president like Elon and Trump. They rile up their base and their base loves them like gods. I personally don't like either but am aware they have some positive qualities nonetheless. It would probably serve you well to admit both have deficiencies, and there's a reason many people on both sides of the political spectrum don't like either.

What Ed said about us young people not being shocked even though we should be, could not have been more true. You would think that an assassination attempt on a former president and running candidate would be a huge concern even for young people, but no, there are memes on the incident hours after it happened (I’m a hardcore lib btw so this isn’t some Trump sympathy tirade). Maybe I’m overplaying it, but I do think this is pretty alarming, and demonstrates a shift in the way of thinking in our younger voting population. Just something to be aware of.

It seems like the Democratic Party and so many of our Institutions have been so overrun with DEI-related corporate “white-knighting”, that the general perception of any “equity value” in being a young man is incredibly low point despite what makes our country so great (Ie after WW2). Then we wonder why our sons feel a societal pull to not be even be man, if given a choice. We need more FORWARD LEANING INVESTMENTS into our youth, not more commoditization of their future. Trump has smart advisors. He'll negotiate. Drop the 10 percent tariff altogether -- and get the 50% China tariff he want after a bit haggling on the 60%. He'll also have a bit of room for targeted tariffs anywhere he wants given he coincided the 10% on everything.
@nlabanok5 ай бұрын
"China tariffs at 50%" like that's a big win for America...lofl. That'll handcuff two-thirds of his rally attendees to a minimum of 15-20% inflation AND incentivize China to grab Taiwan...and only 15-20% is being very generous. You think they stock those (non-grocery) shelves at Walmart with made in America stuff ? Amazon is worse....way worse. And good luck trying to repatriate manufacture of those low value goods into a labor short America...and a labor short America hostile to immigration. It's laughable policy...the best answer to scrutiny of these economically ridiculous tariffs is: Trump is just joking, he's trolling everyone on this (and that's an insane defense of it). It's hard to believe we cultivate this kind of nitwitted thinking in this country where everyone is afforded a chance to get educated.

Ha, if tariffs are so bad why don't we get rid of all tariffs tomorrow? The woman just came to a conclusion based on a single data point. Kyla makes me feel better about my Daughters futures. Another Galloway irony too as he has behaved very badly around young women in financial circles. He can be super creepy at times. It's a serious bummer because I really enjoy listening to him (except his idiot jokes). Also not a surprise that focuses almost entirely on how bad young men have it as opposed to women. He uses statistics to reinforce troubles young men face while ignoring that the entire system continues to be dominated by men and the vast majority of women still start a few rungs down the ladder.
@autohelix5 ай бұрын
There are a crazy amount of advocates for women literally non-stop advocates for women. There is literally nothing for young men out there zero. Young women are absolutely crushing it compared to young men. Have you ever seen anyone advocate to get more men into women dominant Industries like healthcare no, but you sure as heck see it the other way around. If you had a son I assume you don't, because you mentioned your daughter I believe your attitude would be a little bit different.

@@autohelix First of all, I don't have an "attitude". I made some salient points backed up by facts. I'm also a man, have Nephews and a long history of working on children's issues including getting Meghans Law instituted in our state. Which entailed re-writing dozens of laws. The bottom line continues to be that the vast majority of women continue to be underpaid compared to men in the same jobs, get incredibly insufficient support for having children and raising them. Lastly Galloway is a creep around young women. That's first hand knowledge sir. You don't know squat about him personally and should just listen. I'm glad he's speaking up for a young men. Unfortunately he's the wrong guy for the job and it all comes out eventually.

@@Aortadetroit Did I hit nerve, because I don't agree with you very defensive. My wife would not agree with your opinion. Also when it comes to kids it should also apply to men. Maybe the wife would be much better in the career field than the husband, and he needs that support for the kid.
