Rabbi Jacobson you are the best. I wish you continued good health and longevity. But a large part of that wish is because I need you! You make a huuuge difference for me. Finally someone who can translate it all in a way so I can finally take it all in. I wish you could do a series on the prayer service so I can daven and connect with HaShem. So much of it, I just don’t get. My favorite prayer is the Kaddish. So beautiful. That one I mostly get. But the Sh’ma…even that once sentence my brain needs to understand that clearly. The Ahavta, I get. Then it goes into “V’haya im shamoah…” I will give you rain in your fields and you will eat and be satisfied”. I get that. But then it goes into threats…”if you’re deceived and worship other gods, the Lords anger will blaze against you…etc”. When I read that, my mind goes”WHAT!!????” I feel very threatened, and I disconnect from the beauty of prayer and do not want to daven at all. I’m stuck.

Interesting example - I have experienced this kind of both ways. The Internet is a tool but I found that one can fall in love over the wire. I did, am but the situation seemed to be forcing the issue. Personally for me the couple needs to speak to be honest separated from the influences of community - circumstances as it were. I am in a way ashamed that I drove 1800 miles 3600 round trip - but she did not make an effort to acknowledge - I was trained that when a women says no, that means no (whatever the situation.) But when she does not say - what does that mean? We have to use our judgement regarding the situation the circumstances - I did my part of the pinky promise - oh even beyond that - it is a very personal conflict (you want to be with someone you respect, on many levels but if the situation does not support it, age? distance? priorities in life idk ) in all things I trust the Lord - If it was meant to be it will come to pass. She would have said or God would have made her part of my life, at the right time, for the right reasons. You touch a very personal and sensitive spot. It has repercussions and sends waves - I can feel the heat - you have no idea - how close to home you may be. I will sit and hear the lecture - It could be I should have not had this cup of coffee. We don't ever want to hurt anyone we care for or who cares for us. I am not without my own faults. I believe honesty is the best policy but it is sometimes painful. Please continue. If nothing else I have learned how to take a beating. Yes we see some Internet stars - they have agenda to get money or sometimes fame. Yes take care of ourselves. It is hard sometimes. This is life. This was a good show, not what I expected. Wish I was better at this on so many levels. Communication, empathy, understanding, wisdom - I think I will cry myself to sleep. Why? For what could have been? For what yet may be? For all of those in the world, who fail to see. Nothing a good cry and a cat nap won't cure - well not cure but give my mind a chance to reflect. For as much as we think we know, and understand there is much more - we give up to God. Lord be with me, and also with you.

I believe we are talking about The Path of Righteousness, in orderto make progress in our religious and philosophical strivings we must all travel through The Path of Righteousness . For there we find charisma , respect and confidence and the Power to make ourselves stronger. When we acquire the mental strength as a result of walking The Path of Righteousness, then we are ready for the big challenge ,the challenge to reach the heights that the prophets achieved.💚

A little Yiddish goes a long way. Chutzpah, sometimes written chutzpa, hutzpah, or hutzpa, is a Yiddish word that originally comes from Hebrew. Its meaning is usually defined by a series of synonyms, including nerve, gall, audacity, supreme self-confidence, and conspicuous boldness. Would that things were simple. Yup. It is a shame. I disagree with hiding (what we believe to be) the truth. We need to talk - to discern - to understand. I like the vocabulary lesson. It is for me but also gives us some insight to the way an elderly man, understands (from experience) training and study. This is why we respect our elders. Not that I an calling Rabbi Simon Jacobson, old but - lets say mature. Thank you Sir. The God fearing part is worthy - yup call it respect. Sure when we put God first the rest falls into place. He works through us - if we let it come through. I enjoy these discussions. Take notes and make comments as Rabbi Jacobson speaks it gives us, invites us to be part of the class - the learning experience then becomes shared and we can remember some of what he is trying to share. Good - this format is excellent for self improvement - I imagine this as if I am listening to my Father - I miss Dad - he did not often say things or tell stories but once in a while he came up with some good advice. The real usefulness was not realized until much later. In fact it was words not only for me but for the future. Thanks Dad. Yup they twist it corrupt it abuse it - it is a personal decision about integrity. This is a thing that they cannot take but some give it away - not good - What does it benefit a man to save the world but lose his soul. Learn, study, practice, live. Also listen and integrate the good words into our lives. Yes preaching to the choir. I am going to put Rabbi on paws, I feel bad but nature calls and I sure would enjoy a cup of coffee while I listen. Excuse me for a moment please. Guess I should be smart and save. Save frequently save often. Okay - lesson for the day. Don't make a mistake and loose the thoughts to the bit bucket. The computer, like charisma is a tool too. BTW alt numpad 3 ♥ your show.

Yes, we must fear God because he is a fair Judge. If you ever been to court and presented to a judge you know the feeling… it’s not really reverence. It’s a tiny stronger… Because the judge can actually condemn your conduct, exactly like God Almighty; and it is good that we fear God, it’s very healthy. Regards from a devout catholic. Don’t try to sugarcoat Scripture and transform it into self help book because that would be a desecration and you do people a disservice and risk their souls to damnation. To anyone reading this: please love God and also fear Him; it’s good for you and the salvation of your soul.
