History tells us that the Roman Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity in the 4th century. But did Christianity conquer Rome or did pagan Rome conquer Christianity? Did Christianity also secretly thrive within the Roman army? And could the eruption of Vesuvius have actually spurred on the spread of Christianity? Join Simcha Jacobovici on this remarkable journey into the true origins of Christianity, challenging everything we thought we knew.

Christianity has no secrets. It is the fulfillment of Jewish prophecy in great detail. It is all in the Bible.

All these new type of people, who always claim they're telling the truth, are always idiots. Usually idiots easily taken in by lies and propaganda, or those knowingly trying to spread lies and propaganda. Truth and reality is something the modern person doesn't recognize or understand. And the religious are by far the worst for this. I do find it extraordinary, that in the year 2022, we've still got people among us, who claim they do believe in a God? Yet we should all know that it's impossible for the God (they claim they believe in) to exist, we also should all know that it's actually impossible for anyone of us, to really believe a word of it? We all have our very own inquisitive minds, so we should all know that it's actually impossible for any of us to really believe a word of it, as our very own human, inquisitive minds, will always be nagging away at us (in the background), demanding the proof, so they can believe it. It will never stop nagging away at us, demanding the proof to believe it. It's actually known as a "human trait". And all of us do know this. So, how can people, who all "claim" they really do believe, do so, without ever seeing any proof? And why can't the religious people, prove what they all claim they believe in, exists? I mean, the truth really is, they've had over 2000 years to come up with just one thing, just one single thing, that conclusively proves all they "claim" they believe in, to be true? That's 2000+ years, man? And after many of mankind's greatest minds, have studied, researched, and looked for something, anything at all, to prove this myth, only all, have come up with absolutely nothing, not one single thing, in over 2000 years? Yet the religious people claim that God, sent his own son (born to a virgin mother), to earth, to teach and to prove to mankind of his father's existence, right?. So, am I missing something here? Why aren't all the religious people, asking, where is this proof of his father's existence, or even his own existence?? We have none? My biggest questions have always been the same. Yet the can't ever answer anything meaningful, with anything sensible or logical? Why did all those people, (over two thousand years ago), get to meet God's son Jesus Christ, they all saw him perform his miracles (to educate & prove to mankind) the existence of his holy father, God, right? Well now, that's really not very fair, or even very nice, is it? What about us? I want to see some miracles, and I want to drink that water he turned to wine, I'd so love to walk on water too, but we get nothing?, they all got to see, right? Well, why not any of us? Do we not count, or does this God, just not like us? Because, do you know?, (and this is amazing), but do you know, that not a single one of those people from over 2000+ years ago, even thought to make any records of such incredible wonders? Not a single one? But they did make notes, and they kept records about boring things, (like how many loaves of bread they were able to bake in a day). But the miracles of Jesus Christ, himself? ... Nothing, no records, no notes, no drawings, no carvings, no statues, or any references mentioning him, (from anyone of the time), isn't that simply remarkable? So, we simply have to believe, that rather than teaching mankind of his father God's existence, he's gone out of his way to hide and make sure he left absolutely no evidence of even his own existence, let alone any evidence of a God? Nothing, not a single thing. Zip, nada, nowt. Now, honestly, that really is what we could call a miracle LMAO. I guess, maybe, just maybe, he could have changed his mind? LOL. So, the reality is, for a great God, who sent his own son, (born to a virgin mother), to teach us, and to prove to us all, of his father God? We have to be honest, and say, he sure did a miraculous job of hiding every single last detail of proof he existed, LMAO. Two thousand years later, and after many of mankind's greatest minds, have studied, have researched, for something, anything at all to prove this myth?, and yet all have come up with absolutely nothing? Tell me, where is all this love, all this forgiveness, and all this compassion for your fellow man? It's driven people literally mad looking for something, anything at all, 2000+ years, man? And NOTHING!! LOL! Yet these religious who never ask any of these perfectly logical questions, all suck it up, and incredibly actually claim they believe it, or you know, so they say? That's actually astonishing, it really is incredible man, it's shocking. LOL. And then, well then, they even have the audacity to suggest that anyone who does not believe, are sinners!! That's so insulting, man! Absolutely hilarious... LOL, I mean seriously, the level of intelligence in this world today, 2022, is simply appalling. LOL. The religious are a special kind of disturbed human, they just don't want to believe, that when we die, we do die, no, they all want to believe they're all off to some glorious palace in the sky, to lounge around being fed grapes, while listening to an angel strumming a Harp?, or something as utterly bizarre. And these religious people are simply something else with their attitudes! I mean, they've the nerve to look down on anyone who may question their religion, and therefore question the sincerity of their own belief. They all really hate that, and they hate it just so much!! Yet, truth be told, none of them know their arse from their elbow, on the one hand, they want to preach how God created the earth, created mankind, and the heavens etc, and God insists on things, like, help thy neighbour, compassion, love & forgiveness?. Yet, on the other hand, they'll claim that not believing, is a sin, and they tell other people they'll go to hell when they die, to serve the brutal unforgiving devil as his slave. They all say non-believers or followers of any other religion will suffer pain like no human has ever suffered pain before. Nice thing they all believe in, right? Oh, yes, just so nice! Well OK, but I'm sorry, it has to be said, for me, If their God can't show us any proof of his existence, but will then punish all the non-believers, and punish them all, in such a brutal, nasty, vicious, heinous, barbaric, and sadistic way, for merely believing what w see with our own eyes?, and what we learn with our own individual brains, or for using our very own inquisitive minds? Then seriously, that's not any kind of God I'd ever want to know! I mean, really, just how sadistic and screwed up is that? And yet these religious all claim they do believe in that? Okay, look, do you think that actually, there could be something mentally wrong with them all, maybe? Because that's some seriously screwed up thought process, and an indoctrinated mind they all hold, right there. I'm not religious, but I do have a belief. I believe that mankind's own imagination, is the only limitless thing known to man, without imagination, we would cease to exist, the greater the imagination?, the more advanced mankind becomes, until mankind himself, destroys himself. That's what I believe! You don't need gods, devils, murders, wars, or to be full of hate towards anyone, or any other type/kind of religion, to believe in that! No, you only require common sense! I also believe that the religious people in this world today, need to be sectioned under the Mental Health Act of 1977, as without any doubt at all, they're all clearly insane! Yet these (ever so intelligent religious people), have not stopped killing, slaying, and murdering each other, and over something as childish and juvenile as (“whose religion is right, or whose religion is wrong”), since it began! So, honestly and seriously, just how satanic and demented is that? 2000+ years of murder, war, destruction, and outright savagery for that? They're all very sick people indeed.

Religion clearly says God created mankind? But we actually do know for sure that no God created us at all. We evolved from other creatures over millions of years. (Scientific FACT). Religion clearly says God created the Earth? Only, again, we're on the cusp of proving that no God created Earth? We actually do know today that Earth was created following the explosion of a star, as the Earth is made up entirely of star particles, and we know how and why those particles clumped together. Taking those two things alone, proves beyond any doubt at all that religion is a farce. It's like they're unwilling to accept these proven scientific facts? Yet they're happy to believe every single one of all the other scientific facts, only the facts that categorically prove all they believe in to be false? They're completely unwilling to accept those facts? It's most odd. Ancient Egypt, proves religion is not real. Religion very clearly says, that Moses went to Egypt, to save the poor oppressed Israelite slaves from the tyrant Pharaoh, right? Only again, we can prove that's not true, and we know it never happened! Today, we do know, the Israelites were not slaves at any time in Egypt, no, they were in fact, many of the better-paid scribes, masons, and artists, who more often than not, were many of the village leaders, living in the larger units/homes. We can go and look around these uncovered, discovered, Israelite worker villages today. They were also able to build their own tombs, (we can look in their tombs today), they'd steal the colours they needed to decorate their own tombs, (as colours of all kinds, were extremely expensive), from the Pharaoh's tomb, they were decorating. We know they went on strike, when the Pharaoh was late delivering their grain, only, slaves don't strike?. We also know, there is no mention of Moses, throughout all Ancient Egypt? Yet we do know the Ancient Egyptian's recorded everything, from every war or battle they were involved in, (even the wars they lost, are recorded), only they'd record false battle scenes, to make it look like an Egyptian victory. We see this many times in Ancient Egypt, but we see nothing, and no mention of Moses, or even any Israelite unrest? Religion clearly says the Romans crucified Jesus Christ, only a few years after these so-called events, we can read “Pliny the Younger” who wrote a letter to Emperor Trajan, around 112AD, (less than 100 years after), asking for counsel on dealing with Christians. In the letter, Pliny explained to Trajan that he had never been present at any trials of the Christians (who appeared before him as a result of anonymous accusations). And he asked for the Emperor's guidance on how they should be treated, he added, If they still persevered after being interrogated, he had ordered them to be executed, as he thought that obstinacy deserved chastisement. However, he wished to consult the Emperor in order to be on solid ground regarding his actions, so he saved the letters he sent to Trajan, and he saved Trajan's replies. Interestingly, what we find in the reply, is, that those Romans only (less than 100 years later), knew nothing about this Jesus Christ, and certainly knew nothing about crucifying him. In the reply, it is mentioned that Christians are a hated cult for their (excessive superstition and stubbornness). That's from the Roman Emperor, who lived not long after these so-called “great events”. Yet his reply clearly shows us, that not even the Romans knew of this so-called Jesus (son of God), he calls it superstition! Yet the religious say they crucified him?

Can you even begin to imagine, that should all the non-believers start building enormous monuments, and non-religious buildings on every corner, (where like-minded non-religious people) can all go to talk about and preach to others about putting all the religious people in this world, to death? It would be seen as unacceptable, right? Yet, that's exactly what all the religious people and their religions have been doing for over 2000 years? They all need to start answering this reality? Because it's all the religious people, that don't understand just how offensive their religions really are to all non-believers! They've absolutely no right whatsoever, to read about, preach to others about, God's demands that all non-believers must be put to death?. How dare they? And as I don't believe, I don't care where it's written, or whether they say that now, they no longer think or believe that, or even if they claim Jesus died on a cross, to end that belief? I don't believe, so it's actually irrelevant. While that's still written in their bibles?, their religions are completely out of order, and they're preaching unacceptable evil and murder, is the reality, the truth! Kill Non-believers They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul, and everyone who would not seek the Lord, God, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man, woman, or child. (2 15:12-13 NAB). Kill Followers of Other Religions... If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or even your beloved wife, or even your intimate friend entices you secretly to serve other gods whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand, or far away, even from one end of the earth to the other, do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. (13:7-12 NAB). Kill People for Working on the Sabbath... The LORD then gave these further instructions to Moses, “Tell the people to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you forever. It helps you to remember that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. Yes, keep the Sabbath day, for it is a holy day. Anyone who desecrates it must die, anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest. I repeat, because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.” (Exodus 31:12-15 NLT). The Koran demands that they fight the Christians and unbelievers, and promises them, If there are twenty amongst them, they will vanquish two hundred, if a hundred, they will vanquish a thousand of them. Allah and his messenger want them to fight the Christians and the unbelievers, until they pay the Jizya, (a penalty tax for the non-Muslims living under Islamic rules) with willing submission, and until they feel themselves subdued. The Koran takes away the freedom of belief from all humanity. And it relegates those who disbelieve in Islam, to hell, it calls them najis (filthy, untouchable, impure), and orders his followers to fight the unbelievers until no other religion, except Islam, is left. How much longer do they all really see their murderous, devil loving cults, lasting? I'd guess that soon we are going to see a massive revolt against all of them that will result in millions dead. It could even be seen as a form of justice, for all those they and their religions have slaughtered throughout history with their evilness, murder and butchery (that's merely dressed up in disguise, as something good), what a joke that actually is? No good whatsoever, has ever come from ANY religion, none, nothing at all, but it is mankind's most potent killer, more deadly than even disease. They all love to talk about truth and honesty?, yet they're the biggest liars of mankind. They deny everything their religion causes, what it really does, and all the harm, the brutality, and wars it causes, and they deny it with history staring them straight in the face, they all deny categorical proof shown to them, and seem to believe that's just normal?? They talk about love, forgiveness, and all sorts of ethical things?, yet not one of them display anything moral or ethical, EVER! And never have!

"For 1500 years people accepted the story [...] But our investigation revealed another story". Being a journalistic investigation, there is freedom of speech, and using this freedom, the development of new theories is proclaimed. It's just that in many sources of recent historians, we have similar points of view. The work of tens and hundreds of historians is implicitly non-existent and we only have this film that brings news after 1500 years? I don't think it's fair. On the other hand, a real historical investigation is much more complicated and you have to take into account much more information and not issue sentences, several options may remain open. A historical investigation never begins with "The Truth..".

Programs like this demonstrate to us how history isn't hidden from us in the way people think but rather evidence, writings and events are generally seen in isolation rather than as part of one continuous series timeline, often things aren't placed into the bigger picture because it would mean that every discipline involved would have to be stopped and it's history added to (or even changed) and passed on immediately to all the world to keep up to date and correct at every moment. So much research goes on around the world at all times as it is and not every new discovery gets included to the subject for many reasons, not all discoveries become well known among other associated disciplines or they are wrongly ignored and so on. To bring every bit of new information included to create an all encompassing databank of a subject like Christianity would mean creating a central organisation of history and that would immediately get assisted of bias towards and against ...whoever, it would be distrusted, accused of bias, heresy, anything you can think of, then there would be the different sects of the religion, arguments between disciplines because say, Paleography disagrees with carbon dating or again, anything you can think of. Then there is 'what kind of Christianity was it?' that would cause disagreements about any secr you can think of. And then.... Associated religions, what type of Islam? Of Judaism? Some would argue 'should they even be included?' or, what ever differences they have enterally regarding elements of Christianity or, Christianities. There is too much information on the topic that its history and events can't be centralised and it presented as one continual linear situation taking place over a 2000+ year period. To have a presentation of Christianity presented in that way would mean a documentary shown nightly over a 35 years length, and it would have to include random recaps regarding sometimes almost pointless events about new things that have shown up at archaeological digs and in libraries etc. It would be a life long never ending endeavour that's for sure

It's easy to understand why Constantine saw himself as 'divine'... the Cult of the Emperor has its roots in the 'Cult of the Hero', which stretches back through ancient history through heroes such as Julius Caesar (and the other Caesars too!), Alexander, Cyrus, Achilles, Theseus, Jason and Perseus to Herakles and Osiris... and even further! The basis of this cult of the hero was that the hero who conquered all his enemies and thus subdued and subjected the whole (of the known) world to his rule, by doing so, proved his position as the 'Son of Heaven' (or the 'Son of God'...) and thus his semi-divinity. This was what the 'Mysteries' (i.e. the various 'mystery cults' or 'mystery religions') were all about. So it's hardly surprising that Christianity (yet another 'mystery religion') should thus appropriate Constantine as one of 'their own'... Oh, and the 'god' they were supposedly the 'son' of, was most often the Sun! (Though the 'divine Julius' was seen as the descendent of Venus, while Alexander was the 'son of Zeus'). And, as Dr Carrier has shown, intimations of a 'resurrection' were drawn from the 'death and rebirth' of the sun... i.e. the winter solstice. Btw, why does this video of Simcha's remind me so much of Richard Carrier's work? Certainly Mr Jacobovici doesn't quote Carrier or cite him in any of this video... but perhaps he should... I've a feeling he owes a large intellectual debt to Carrier, to say the least. :/

The cross didn’t become a Christian symbol until Constantine’s mother, Helen, visited the Holy Land, and allegedly discovered remnants of the cross where Christ was crucified. For this reason, it is understood why there are no crosses appearing on Emperor Constantine’s Victory Arch in Rome. The vision that Constantine saw in the skies before his victorious battle was not just the cross, but of Christ’s actual crucifixion.

@@edgardofano537 Constantine The Greats dad was an Illyrian Pagan from somewhere in South Serbia his Mother was Hagia Eleni aka Saint Helen a Greek women equal to the Apostles born in Minor Asia AKA Anatolia now Turkey. Saint Helen was a Christian and found the wood of the cross Jesus Christ was crucified on at Pontius Parlate when it all happened. I'd not blame the Romans as the Romans only followed the demand of the Jewish people that didn't see the King of the Jews as their very own Messiah. As the Jews demanded him to get off the cross and do a miracle to worship him he refused and said. "I'm not king of this world". This symbolizes the Jesus is to be the King of the Jews in Paradise aka Heaven with the Father and Holy Spirit. I won't speak anymore about Jesus Christ but about Constantine's mother Saint Helen. She found the wooden parts of the cross under Pontius Parlate in Jerusalem that the Romans buried by building a temple of the Greek Goddess Aphrodite as the Romans called her Venus. Saint Helen with other Christians demolished this temple of Venus that was above the sight. Many Christians took the pieces of the cross as Holy Relics, Blessings ect.... Saint Helen then arrived to Cyprus in the Akrotiri area where she slept and had a vision of light pointing East towards a Mountain where she'd need to drop of a piece of the cross Christ was crucified on. Saint Helen couldn't go there as visioned as even tho Cyprus has history of cats going back to the Neolithic age there was lots of snakes and couldn't go. So Saint Helen went to Egypt filled an entire ship of cats and went back to Cyprus and released them onto the island. She then was able to go to that mountain and drop the piece of the cross at a location that a Monastery started being constructed in 324AD. This Monastery is an Orthodox Christian Monastery with only Monks and Men for pilgrimage built in 324AD it's called Stavrovouni Monastery. Stavro or Stavros in Greek is Cross and Vouni or Vouno is Mountain. Stavrovouni Monastery is a crucial part of Christendom in general located near the city of Larnaca. In Larnaca also has the tomb and the Church of Saint Lazarus who was Resurrected by Christ. In this Church in Larnaca are allowed in as it's not a Monastery for Monks or only Nuns. I'm a Greek Cypriot and I've personally been to both locations. For Savrovouni I forgot to mention that women are allowed in the parking area to admire and enjoy the view if the Mediterranean, Larnaca, Nicosia in the North and a tiny Church to venerate the icons or take photos of the tiny Church light your candle or take a photo of the Monastery in close distance just not allowed in the Monastery. There is also another part out of the larger pieces of the Cross like in Stavrovouni Cyprus in the Monastic Peninsular of Mt Athos in Northern Greece surrounded by the Provenance of Macedonia with over 20 Orthodox Christian Monasteries over 1000 years old isolated from the modern world for pilgrims from Cyprus, Greece, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Russia, Syria & Lebanon ect for the search if interested in the Monastic life. Some Eastern Roman Emperors have been there, members of the Greek Royal Family such as Exiled King Constantine II, Vladimir Putin ect.... Mt Athos has many Holy Relics as well hard to get to, for men and permission from the Monasteries and Abots. Only 2 times in history has there been any journalist invited in with a Documentary on 60 minutes on KZbin. I also forgot to mention that there is a nice Cypriot village I've sadly never been to and it was not too far from my ancestors village maybe half an hour away called Omodos. This village Omodos the houses, streets, Taverns ect most are made out of rocks and the rest lime stone looking bricks and very touristy looking. It also has a Monastery called Timios Stavros and has the Holy Relics aka the Nails in witch Christ was crucified on the cross. Also coming from an Eastern Orthodox Christian myself you won't really like this but the Roman Catholic Church didn't come to existence since the Great Schism of 1054AD. The Church before the Great Schism was called The One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church. It's just like the Nicene Creed witch we Orthodox Christians have been using since the 4th Century AD. Katholous in Greek means for everyone meaning the word Catholic. We only changed our name after the Great Schism of 1054AD to Orthothoxi aka Orthodox, meaning the right way. The Eastern half of the Roman Empire was later known as the Eastern Roman Empire or in the Colonial Era as we know it today as the Byzantine Empire was Christian and spoke Greek not Latin. Konstantinoupolis is what we call it aka Constantinople, Aka Nea Romi, New Rome. Constantine The Great was not a Catholic sorry. Was he a pagan? Yes, did he convert to Christianity? Yes as the video shows one perspective and doesn't even mention all the basic info I've known for years now about Saint Helen ect and more evidence proves he converted. But there is also evidence that maybe he was a Pagan until his last days and I believe that due to the evidence claiming Constantine was always a Pagan but not at the very end of his life it was a slow conversion in my opinion. Also yes Pagans still existed after Constantine and worshiped their Polytheistic Gods just like how they still exist today.

With respect to the Sator Square, my Hmong/Chinese heritage also erect the household altar called Xwm Kab - 4 Path. In this altar, we hung on the front wall so that it is visible to the both of the doors coming inside of the home. The 4 Path (annual goals): 1. to ensure plentiful of food, 2. being healthy, 3. prosperity so that 4. continuation of family can be extended in the plentiful births. Perhaps it's just human nature to have such outlook in life for both the physical and spiritual realm. As for Emperor Constantine creating Jesus in his image, one of my learning experiences had also taught the idea that the god (s) made us in their images and that they believe in us human along with all life forms. Just a thought.

At minute 20:50, statues of Dacians (modern-day Romania) are shown. All Dacians wore this type of headgear. These statues were created to commemorate Trajan's victory and later repurposed for Constantine. Though dedicated to Constantine, much of the sculptural decoration consists of reliefs and statues removed from earlier triumphal monuments dedicated to Trajan (98-117), Hadrian (117-138) and Marcus Aurelius (161-180), with the portrait heads replaced with his own. Yes exactly, and his theory and why he included these emperors in his Arch is also wrong. Constantine didn’t deserve this triumphal arch, the rule was you had to win a battle outside the empire. Constantine didn’t do that. The inclusion of 3 of the 5 good emperors was to up Constantine’s profile. It was a PR move.

I never thought Constantine was a sincere Christian because there is little to no evidence that he was, aside from the stories, which are very inconsistent, that Eusebius wrote down. But, many of the “lines of evidence” here were hardly unique to Constantine, such as being “divine”, being pontifex maximus, portraying himself as driving a quadriga like the sun gods, erecting grandiose statues of himself, etc. It does make sense that he would use Christianity to win support of the army, but there weren’t that many political elites that were Christian yet. However, he likely won more military support through his victories than Christanity. I do think he was a good propagandist who picked and chose those elements from various religions that would enhance his image as a powerful emperor. He didn’t even end the persecution of Christians for more than a year after his “conversion”, he was probably keeping his options open while he tested the waters. It surprises me how to often I hear people say “Constantine made Christianity the only legal religion of the empire”, he didn’t. Roman Catholicism retains many pagan, ancient Roman, elements to this day; it’s essentially polytheistic, icon-worshiping, and has an “infallible” emperor/christ-on-earth, the pope.

Rome certainly collected the gods and subsequent aspects of faith/religious beliefs of the people they conquered. To learn the ways and beliefs of the people they conquered would have been highly beneficial to them when it came to ruling over foreign subjects. Out of the mixing pot of religious beliefs they accumulated it would be within their best interest to incorporate the fastest growing belief into their own religious structure in order to consolidate authority for themselves.

just few minutes of this documentary and I already learned a lot... 1-Constantine is a genius strategic cunning ruler... mixing and creating a new religion to gain the favor of others and established is as the truth. 2-His move to use religion in his plan to conquer is a bright move that even people in modern times still adopted this style of gaining the favours of those churches with highest following it can help divert the support of the people in favour of the ruler who was supported by their church. 3-it's easy to manipulate people if you all have same religion, and it's easy to exert power to the followers. 4- if you only fight with only the nobles on your back it's hard to win a battle... but if the masses was also behind your back plus partnered by religion your win is guaranteed. 5- there's this possibility, that if Christianity was really a combination of two religion... how much more connected those other religions are to one another.. they might have been birthed on a single religion before... and then after people just keep creating cults and religions.. so it might be all this gods that we worship were maybe was the same god after all. If this is true, does it mean that all the fights of these religions all through these years were nonsense 🤔🤔🤔 but in a political sense... it really did make sense since politicians and rulers needed power in order to do that they must have a lot of followers or supporters.🤔🤔🤔

Just another fun fact or two: it was Constantine's wife Helen who was the devout christian of the family. Following jis military success at reuniting the empire, she persuaded him to convene the council of Nicene to sort out the various Christian factions, thus paving the way for official recognition as one of the tolerated religions of the empire. Remember there were many tolerated religions, the largest of which was Mithraism. It wasn't until Honorious Caesar that Christianity became the official Roman religion, in 450CE, 175 years later. Roman Catholism didn't start till 700CE, and the Holy Roman Empire dates from 800CE. The Christianity of 100CE eas far different to that of 325CE, and both were different from that of 450CE, and all were radically different from that of 700CE and 800CE. Christianity had devolved from a belief in brotherhood and community, to a hierarchy of bishops and teachers (priests) by 325CE, with additional hierarchy of cardinals and popes by 450CE. It's patently obvious that Christianity had been irreparably corrupted by 700CE to what reigned throughout the middle ages. Even the message of James and Paul and Peter has been deconstructed and rebuilt. The gnostics, the Arians, the Celtic churches, the many eastern offshoots etc, now exist as tiny communities. The main branches of Christianity, Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant all have their factions, but numerically are the largest group globally. But they are second to the combined total of non-religious, Atheist, and non-affiliated.

Many of the supposedly Christian elements and symbols in this documentary were shared by Mithraism, a Middle Eastern religion that preceded Christianity: it was one of the most popular religious cults in the pre-Christian Roman empire. The parallels are astonishing: Mithras was the earthly representative of the supreme god Sol Invictus. Mithras was crucified, and one of his symbols is the cross. Before Christ, Mithras was pictured with the rays of the Sun emanating from behind his head. The worship of Mithras took place in underground cloisters, and the worship of Mithras was especially prevalent in the Roman army.

Jesus is the one most like God. And that's your answer to the first part of the verse. Making him the Angel of God. He's the one that spoke to Moses in the burning bush and he is the one that wrestled with Jacob in Genesis and he is the one that appeared in front of Balaam's donkey in Numbers and he is the Angel that spoke with Manoah in. This is why he is called the word of God because he is God's speaker. John 5:37 or 38 says No one has seen God or heard his voice at any time. This means that someone else is speaking for God. That someone is his Son. Which is an angel.

The arrogance of man has no bounds. What an egotistical, weak man, was Constantine. Instead of being wise and noble, he lived his life in a manner which goes completely against his supposed chosen religion. Because he dedicated his life with spite, and a lust for revenge. He may as well have been working for satan. Stupid human.

Like most tools there are knockoffs and even purposely flawed designs presented for an ignorant mass consumption. Crazy as it sounds, not going to make you get on the Cognative Bias and Triggered wagon, the evidence for a historic actual human with any significance or lineage or existence is not for inspection. It never was and cannot be reliably organically unearthed. That does not mean there is any reason to ignore the Bible in the manner it can be useful for learning of spirit, soul, and the perfection which one can strive for with humble intent with the focus to manifest that intention consciously. As part of the Trinity, The Holy Ghost/Spirit, has much to lend anyone who isn't already leading such willfully and consciously in the moment to moment. As our prior journey was but an aspect of this souls reaching ever toward, yet eternally only able to ever hold out for, its eventual perfection sliding into thenstory of the New Testament is aided by the allusion of the Holy Spirit in the narrative. It allows the sometimes so one dimensional and almost absent in function or form of some guy that says he is the son of the one god to unfold which rewards most that begin without predisposition Monet other traits. Gather up what senses will and sit inside the now exoskeleton and "body of Christ"! Inherited the kingdom, raised up the temple in the best manner, and walk not just as Jesus, but with him, beside him, as father to the man, and as protector if sometimes needs make circumstance unavoidable. This isn't coupon clipping or Sunday book looking at. The nature of you, us, and signs of upper limits being but a rung on the infinite ladder is to both create terror in the unknown but also desire to behead demon or dragon in defiance. Very much like the Buddhist novel Seat of the Soul what any one takes from the experience does make a simple onlooker via spectator rather uneventful branches brace the soul which takes the steps for consciously pressing the Move Forward button less a task sublimating into what may really be the diamond here. That is ... who knows? Well, maybe, you will know ... a something ... so stop wasting the way you are with better than passing luck to turn out undefined and below average as the generation declines ... and step the fuck up to making some tough decisions about what you make really mean to exist in the one and on.y ... now. Oh, and don't worry, you can't fuck this up. Even if it ends with whatever idiocracy employed ... there is a next time where the actions YOU CHOOSE make all the difference. So there is not end. Constine a Christian? Highly unlikely. Constantine was an educated man and he understood the utility of religion and he made use of that knowledge. When he convened the Council of Nicea he had a goal in mind and he didn't care which Christian faction would come to the forefront. He wined and dined with the Church leaders to gain their support. In the words of Seneca about 300 years earlier, "Religion is true to the common man, false to the wise (educated) man and useful to the politician. There is a graffiti in Rome that shows the title of Commodus, _Herculo Romano Augusto_ separated by a vertical Hercules club so that to the right were words _culo ano usto_ which means, "burns the ring of the hole" 😳😨 That image of the Pozzuoli Graffito they showed at 1:53:09? If you google it and examine it closely you'll find that the poor bloke in animal skins was "riding" a horn-shaped vertical peg and appeared to be in the throes of some kind of physical pleasure. 😳 The peg was attached to a horizontal strut that in turn was supported by a large quarter-round. It is as though the Romans made the cross ( _crux_ = torture stake ) as a stick figure of Priapus and in the literature it was even equated with Priapus! 🤯
