Wireless charging is by far the best solution for urban charging. Imagine curbside parking spaces equipped with wireless charging. They are only identified by a panel. There is nothing on the street surface to fail and/or be vandalized, no copper cable to be cut and stolen, no connector to be accidentally or voluntarily damaged. You just park the car... or rather let the car park itself, as its positioning will be more precise (an important point for the efficiency of the charging), input the parking space number in an app... and on the charging goes. The car will be charged to your required level the next morning... or at the end of your working day. Perfect for apartment dwellers who cannot charge at home! I do not know wether installing an induction charger is more or less costly than a regular one, but it is a pretty safe bet its lifetime, uptime and cost of maintenance will all be substantially better!

I am no electrical engineer. However, Musk has confirmed that the efficiency of wireless charging was practically the same than regular charging, not 5-10% inferior!

@@st-ex8506 Hi the full specs of the tesla wireless charging isnt available , but based on wireless chargers available Wireless chargers are less efficient.
