Excellent video, Clara - your reviews are always so thorough, polished and delivered professionally! It's interesting this overheating issue - looks like the thermostat is way out of calibration - worrying if the temperature is getting so high as to cause distortion to the drawer front. I've also never had much luck with celeb chef endorsed cooking appliances or implements and this looks like another to avoid. It may look the part, but reliable results are all important with air fryers for me, especially as the reduced time and temperatures needed can take a bit of getting used to anyway.

Thanks for the review, really useful so I've subbed. Bought the non-stick Gino oven trays which rust along the edge roll if not dried like uncoated steel trays & the coating stains easily. We've marked them as temporary until better ones are found. They replaced Asda Scoville trays which, like the Scoville saucepans, lost the black coating leaving a rough white coating so all went in the metal bin at the local tip. Have invested in uncoated stainless ProCook pans as a Christmas treat! I much prefer the manual air fryer controls. Twist or twist-twist and you're cooking vs beep beep, beep, beep beep, beep, beep, beep beep, beep, beep beep beep beep, beep and you're cooking.

ProCook's bakeware is great and I agree a proper tacticle control is very good, particularly in cars...but lets not go there! Thanks for the comment, much appreciated

I took your advice and bought a Cosori. Brilliant buy and used every day. I wish I had the space for the 2 drawer !

My sister started with a single drawer Cosori and now she has..... two single drawer Cosoris, so there is always that option!

The small+large compartments look like a useful, novel addition to the market. I have found that other well known brands are quick to overcook various foods, despite shortening heating times and lowering temperatures and require close attention even after buying various books, not set and forget like a microwave oven.

Brilliant review Clara…but like a few other people have said, you get what you pay for. On first inspection, it looks like you are getting a lot for your money, but with incorrect temperature readings and the warped drawer after only the first use, I’m sure Asda will be getting a lot of returns. Please keep the great reviews, tips and advice coming. 👍

@@CandidClara I'd wager that it probably depends on the circumstances for the collaboration. If it's the chef or celebrity themselves that has a vested interest in the appliance, they're probably more likely to be investing financially into it and wanting it to be good, but I would imagine that a lot of these sorts of products are the flip side, where it's companies reaching out to the chef/celebrity for endorsements, in which they're probably having to cut costs to afford licensing their name for their products.

Fantastic video! I've been looking enviously at these air fryers because my kitchen is cream and sage green! It would look fab on my worktop, but based on your comments I'll probably go for the Ninja (I'm after a dual air fryer as my single - though excellent, George at ASDA! - is no longer practical).

It's a shame. One of the major things I think we're lacking in the top handful of air fryers is some actual colour! I understand that black is neutral and goes with everything, but would it hurt Cosori/Ninja to add some kitchen-matching colour options? Also, just wanted to let you know, that thanks to your thorough videos, I bought the two-drawer Cosori on Cyber Monday after struggling for ages between that and the Ninja. I do like the Cosori, but I also strongly think that personal preference comes in to play as everyone is different. Have you seen this? kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4SyiZtmgrOZaNE I tried to do a balanced review of what I think are the top 3 dual drawers, but pay attention also to the "irritations" I mention with each model

Hi Clara. I'm curious after all your tests, are you still using the Cosori as your main airfryer? Honestly I have an fairly old Philips XXL airfryer but after watching your review of the Cosori *and* I noticed I got one for a really good price here in Sweden with Black friday(week) deal I got one, still waiting for it since I suspect the seller had quite a few orders being the cheapest at around £122. I now start to feel like I should have gone for the all new Cosori with one big drawer but two compartments at around £60 more.. *sigh* there is always something newer and maybe better. :-) BTW: Really enjoy watching your videos, do love to hear English being that I once lived in the southern part of England.

Yes I do still use my Cosori Dual Basket as our main family air fryer. I honestly think Ninja, Cosori and Philips are all great brands and differ in very slight ways so I'm sure you will be absolutely fine with your purchase

Hi thanks for a great review. Just to say I would think that most of these cheap air fryers are all made in China more than likely in the same factory with different brand names and badges on the front. Nothing against Chinese made air fryers just saying. Sadly a lot of the time the quality is just not there in that price range. When people see the well-known brand badge these days I don't think they realise they are not actually getting that brand name anymore a lot of the times it's just mass produced rebranded cheap and cheerful appliances.😅 Love watching your videos. 👍

I think they are probably ALL made in China, I think the difference is some manufacturers hand over the entire production to an overseas factory and some are much more involved with the details of the production process.

I agree, I think it’s too cheap, when you start breaking down that price into VAT, retailers share, transportation costs etc, the actual machine is put together for a few ££ 😕

Maybe you get what you pay for its very cheap but i do like the colour i have 2 cosoris the Dual blaze and the twin drawer with lights love them both for different reasons but it i had to pick i prefer the blaze with its 2 heating elements would like them to do different colours like they used to do with the older basket drawer ones red white and black .

Interesting video thank you. I agree about the colour it's gorgeous, I have a black Cosori which looks really ugly in my white themed kitchen although I suspect it performs much better than this model.

I guess the logic is he's a chef he should know what a good air fryer (or knife, or whatever...) looks like and when he's comissioned someone to make it, he puts his name on it...

@@CandidClaraI don't think that's the way it works. The celebrity is approached by the manufacturer/outlet to see if they will put their name to a product, essentially using the celebrity's fame to promote the item. TriZone Air Fryer 'by' Drew Barrymore? Come on!

l once paid over the odds for a jamie oliver pan, never again will an endorsement by a celeb convince me to buy an appliance, and that includes youtubers, specially if they have links to the product they are reviewing

This is a generic air fryer with Gino branding. The exact airfryer in black is in Aldi at the moment, and finding out its not on sale for 60 quid a few weeks after we bought it for 90 is annoying. We bought it for the colour. The dual drawers are great and sync finish is nice. The BIG issue I have have is the LOUD beeping. It's infuriating, so loud and it does a 10 second beeping halfway through the cook. I've tried to find out how to turn it off and have looked into taking it apart to remove the beeper. The other minor annoyance is that the timer defaults to 15 minutes, so I'm always having to turn the time down to finish something off for a few mins. And every buttin press is accompanied by the loud BEEP!

You are definitely not the only one to be driven mad by a beeping air fryer! It’s so weird that this is something most manufacturers have overlooked completely!

@@CandidClara From my searching I've found that some have included a mute function, or volume change. I've tried every combination of button presses on this one and I just don't think it's possible. Honestly the loud beep is the reason we've just decided to return the Gino. Looking at getting the Swan retro 4.5l.
