There are neighborhoods in USA that you wouldn’t even think of going inside because of crime. I assure you that Albania is a safe country to travel.

He got the language opinion right. As for the 'crime' it happens to them because they stand out so much. I wish you would have asked him if he saw anyone wearing a tie randomly every day. We use them only for business, weddings and formal stuff. The 12 yo kid most probably was joking and nobody points you the gun in brought day because police would kick their but real nice. If you get a gun pointed at you during the day most probably it's a lighter or something. I honestly believe that our streets are much safer than anywhere else due to lack of crazy and drug users around here. Again if you stand out that much that one criminal that might be in the city will come after you. I don't know anyone who had an incident and was faced with crime.

Not all families are “ruled” by the man in the house. As an Albanian myself, I can say that things have evolved a lot and women go to work. My mom brought more money home than my dad, and they both made decisions.

I really liked the description of the language. It's very rare to hear a foreign perspective. One word/way to say hello you might find interesting is "Tungjatjeta" which means "may you live a long life". I don't use it, but I always found it beautiful. Another way to say thank you is "Rrofsh" which has the same meaning of may you "live" or more precisely may you live a long time. So "Rrofsh" for this video and the mindful message it contains :)

Whatever bad things you've heard from Albanian teenagers let me tell you that it's not true. Albanians are really kind, they do not mess with you unless you mess with them first. Albanians are really kind people when it comes to tourists so whatever bad thing you think about Albania please just don't lol.

I like the way you described you pretty much nailed it in so many aspects as for a knife robbery I'm not sure they are big dealing Mafia mafia going on but they don't bother the general public they just deal with each other. The little puppies knife crime knife robbery I've not heard of sense in last few long years so tell Ben he's probably more so than many countries in Europe. As for Nutella I never knew that Nutella was popular in Albania everything else that you said about food is true although you haven't been in North albania looks like the common food there is a spin roast lamb and all other things that you mentioned and more apart from Nutella.
