I recently watched a video made by Nehemiah Gordon who has Doctorate in Jewish history and language. He did some of the translations on the Dead Sea Scrolls and many other ancient documents. He was given access to one of the larger collections of these documents that a limited amount of scholars get access to. The one thing that amazed him was that every 7 or 8 times where the Tetragrammaton had a third diacritic dot which translated the name to Yehovah in Hebrew or Jehovah in English. He found this 1000's of times in these writings . He came to realize that it was removed in many cases to prevent the name from being pronounced. He has written a well researched book called Shattering the Conspiracy of Silence. He found thru his research that God's Name Yehovah / Jehovah was removed from the bible in over 6800 places and replaced with titles . He couldn't believe that the most common name (God's Name) had been replaced in that many places . That averaged 7 times for each page of the old testament. I guess if God's Name was reinstated in all those places , the pagan teaching of the Trinity wouldn't be an issue.

It is common knowledge that the Jews did not speak Gods name “Yahweh” out loud. That is why it was replaced. Jehovah is not God’s name. His name is Yahweh. Jehovah came from the Jews using the vowels for the Hebrew word for “Lord” in place for the the actual vowels in Yahweh. It kept them from accidentally saying his name out loud when they were reading. The Hebrew name for lord is Adonai.

The glorified body of Jesus Christ is the visible manifestation of both the Father and the Son. The combined Spirit,is the Father, and the Spirit of Christ. Paul refers to the Holy Spirit as " The Spirit of God" and " the Spirit of Christ"( Rom.8:9-11). Jesus said," If you have seen me then you have seen the Father"( John 14:7-11). I have so many Scriptures to quote but I need to do them Verbatim. If people just read the last bit of the Book of Revelation, that would be a start. When we are judged, Christ Jesus will judge us. Just Google this for now. If I can find this thread, I will put down a few Scriptures that debunk the Trinity Theory. Glad Tidings Church of God suffers from the same malady we are all born with. We don't see clearly. 1 Corinthians 13:12. All of us Trinitarians and One God believers. It's quite simple really, the word, as is wisdom, is what is known-as a personification of GOD's spoken commandment. Therefore and when we read John 1.1, we find the title of 'the word', is not merely a placeholder for Jesus, but rather, it is a symbolic representation for GOD's spoken will and commandment made-alive in the Son.

Two Jehovah Witnesses visited my home, I spent two hours trying to explain to them the deity of Christ to no avail, I then asked them who is the savior of the world? One of them responded " it might be Jesus" I then responded "He either is or isn't the savior of the world." It's very sad to see them being deceived by the organization. When I was eight years old I remember picking up the bible for the first time and opening it to the book of John chapter 1 and as I read the first chapter I understood right there and then who Jesus Christ is. Without added context, I will go on a limb and assume this is in reference to the word being GOD in John 1.1, and that you are asking for clarification on that. With that being said, the key to coming to terms with the word in John 1.1, rests on acknowledging the intended use and meaning of the title in the text. That is to say, the title of the word, that is a personification of GOD's spoken commandments, as well as its role in creation, as shown in Ps 33.6-9 Therefore and after coming to terms with the nature of the title of the word, and its intended use in creation, it becomes obvious that Jesus, who is clearly not a literal word, and who did not literally come out of His Fathers mouth, was in-effect, the being through which GOD's spoken commandment was made alive(manifested-in). And thus, we find reconciliation with the word that is GOD in John 1.1, as well as the nature of the Son in Creation with GOD. The word = GOD's spoken commandment, made alive through Jesus Christ who was in the form of GOD in heaven, prior-to the beginning spoken of, in Genesis.

In direct translation of the Koine Greek the first instance of God is translated with a capital G and the definite article "the," the second mention of god is without a capital for g ( god )and states is a god. Two different references to devine beings indicating one lesser god ,( the Word ), who was as stated with the Almighty God. John 17:22 - The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one.. It means one in person. Ex. If the King had a son and the king went to another country, he represents the King. Therefore the King and son are one in person. The son speaks for the King and the King speaks for the son. Same could be said of an Ambassador of USA. He speaks for the President. When Jesus said “I and the Father are one” in John 10:30, he was talking about the unity of purpose that existed between him and the Father. If what you say is true please give me chapter and verse for where it says “God the Son”. I have never found it in the pages of the Bible. If God is 3 in one and we were created in God's image then we too should show those same traits. Mark 13:32 “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father. Either God is schizophrenic (split personality) or God and Jesus are two distinct personalities. Because the Father knows what the son doesn't. Jesus is the SON of God. Deuteronomy 6:4 - says "Hear, O Israel: The LORD thy God is one LORD." @Yelisa I know Hebrews 1:3 says the Son "sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high". And Heb. 1:13 quotes the OT - "Sit at My right hand". And Ephesians 1:20 says "seating Him [Christ] at His right hand in th eheavenlies." But let us also remember that there is SINGULAR - "THE [singular] THRONE of God and of the Lamb" in Revelation 22:1. Not plural thrones there, but THE throne of the God-man Redeemer. How about we believe and embrace both proclamations?

That is one throne. So "Your throne O God" pertaining to the Son of God is singular also in Heb. 1:8. Am I right ? The man Jesus is God. The Lord - God-man. Amen? When God speaks as one person, that does not mean He is not in unity with other persons. Read John 17. The problem with the trinity doctrine is that it claims God is "without body, passions or parts". The clearest "definition" of God we have in the Bible is that Jesus was the "Son of God". Thus, the dying witness of Stephen does not have the resurrected Jesus standing on the right hand of an infinite immaterial being, but on the right hand of His resurrected Father. The creeds version of the words Father and Son is disingenuous. The words "Father" and "Son" verify that the Father was once a Son Himself on a previous earth, and that Jesus will progress and become the Father on a future earth. Otherwise they are not really a Father and Son.

The position we take is based on the Scripture as a whole. Since we believe the Father is the only person is who is God (cf. John 17:3), we felt it was fine to quote only that part of that verse. But even if we follow the logic you presented, Jesus is the only human lord, the only created being that we must give allegiance to. Pretty similar to John 17:3, one of your favorite verses, where eternal life is an equal knowledge of both the Father and the Son. This eternal life is described as the true God at 1 John 5:20, “He is the true God and eternal life.” Who is the eternal life according to John? Simon Brown Excellent Video, Simon. The problem is that the word in the Greek is not "God" but Theos. I believe Theos has the same meaning as Elohim, Mighty, Strong, powerful. Although "son" and "Theos" seem like very different words, μονογενὴς θεός (the only Theos) and ὁ μονογενὴς υἱός (the only son) are actually not far off. In fact, in some of the manuscripts, they are contracted such that only one letter distinguishes them. The translators were not certain which was the original, which is why the translators added a footnote. Personally, I try to approach the Newer writings from the perspective of the Older ones. The Son during the days of his flesh, was Jewish, the Apostles were Jewish, they lived in a Jewish culture, so the words they likely spoke would reflect that. The Greek language in the New Testament Scriptures, is an account of the lives lead by Jewish men. Where it says "God" I am confident the way they spoke of the Messiah among themselves original would be by using the word Elohim, Mighty One, not by "God" from the Germanic Language which has the meaning of the Almighty One. The mystery of godliness amazing. When someone is begotten they take on the same nature as the one who fathered them. Since Abba Father through the Holy Spirit conceived Jesus. Jesus has the same nature as God. Philippians says that Jesus thought it not robbery to be equal with God but humbled himself and took on the form of a man. And a spirit it's not a thing a spirit is always a sentient being. The Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus Christ period to lead and guide us into all truth. And through that same Spirit we have a personal relationship with Abba Father and Jesus. Thank you blessings and peace. It is one thing to look upon Jesus (quite rightly) as an object of worship, a god if you like, but to bestow upon Him a status equal to that of The Father is totally against the teaching of the Bible. I am not suggesting that Jesus was merely a man, or an Angel of God. He was uniquely the Son of God. In the Bible He is never referred to as God the Son. This is a church title for Him. We read in John 1- 'we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father...' Jesus said in John 14- 'My Father is greater than I'. The standard trinitarian response to this is usually along the lines- 'while He was on earth, He was subject to the Father', yet the same trinitarians quote John 10:30- 'I and My Father are one' as proof of His equality with the Father!!! Its not difficult to see the contradiction here. In John 10, Jesus is clearly talking about being one in purpose and mind with His Father. The context is the salvation of the sheep and a careful reading of this passage shows that Jesus was not claiming any kind of equal status with the Father. This is supported elsewhere in Johns gospel (7:16-18; 12:49,50; 8:28,42; 13:16; etc). A careful and humble consideration of these words of Jesus will leave us with no doubt about Him being subservient to His Father. It is clear that Jesus is not stating this relationship with His Father as applying for just a part of His life. The Apostle Paul clearly understood this subservient aspect of The Lords relationship with His Father and taught it to the Gentiles (I Corinthians 8:6; 11:3; 15:24-28; I Timothy 2:5; Ephesians 4:6; 5:20; etc). Note also the way in which Paul begins most of his Letters (as does Peter and John)- 'Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ'. How is it possible to read all the references above and conclude that Jesus was in any way equal to The Father. The writer to the Hebrews (chpt 1) gives clarity to the elevated position of Jesus when He says that 'God has spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things ...Jesus having become so much better than the Angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For to which of the Angels did He ever say: You are My Son, Today I have begotten You? ...let all the Angels of God worship Him ...Your throne O God is for ever and ever'. It is clear that this elevated status is given to Jesus from His Father, but it is also clear, that Jesus has not been given a position equal to His Father. It goes on to say- 'You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, YOUR GOD, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than your companions'. The doctrine of the Trinity stands on the premise of the equality of The Father and The Son. THIS DOCTRINE IS CLEARLY FALSE, even though it is believed by the vast majority of christians. To this I would say, look to the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew (7:13-15). Jesus Christ was The Son of God and is the Mediator of Gods Covenant of Peace to all who would believe in Him.

If the two agree 100%, then that should confirm that the trinity is based squarely on Scripture. But is that the case? Let's see... 1a. *THE BIBLE* says the Father-a single person-is the “only true God.” (John 17:3). 1b. *THE TRINITY DOCTRINE* says that “every Person [of the trinity] BY HIMSELF [is] God.” That’s THREE GODS! 2a. *THE BIBLE* says that “for us there is one God, the Father." (1 Cor. 8:6) 2b. *THE TRINITY DOCTRINE* says “we worship one God IN TRINITY.” 3a. *THE BIBLE* says the “Father is greater…” (John 14:28) 3b. *THE TRINITY DOCTRINE* says: “In this trinity, NONE is greater…” 4a. *THE BIBLE* says Jesus is the Son of God. (John 20:31) 4b. *THE TRINITY DOCTRINE* says “Jesus IS God,” which makes him a different God from the “one God in trinity." 5a. *THE BIBLE* says the “Father is greater…” (John 14:28) 5b. *THE TRINITY DOCTRINE* say that “the whole three persons [of the trinity] are “co-equal.” 6a. *THE BIBLE* says the holy spirit is not God, but a possession of God and that he gives it to deserving ones. As 1 Thess. 4:8 says: “Therefore, whoever disregards this, disregards not a human being but God, who (also) gives HIS holy Spirit to you.” 6b. *THE TRINITY DOCTRINE* says that “the holy spirit IS God.” However, A Catholic Dictionary says: “On the whole, the New Testament, like the Old, speaks of the spirit as a divine energy or power.” It adds: “The majority of New Testament texts reveal God’s spirit as someTHING, not someONE.” 7a. *THE BIBLE* says that the Father is the ONLY person that “the true worshipers” (Christians) should worship. (John 4:23) 7b. *THE TRINITY DOCTRINE* says: “The trinity in unity is to be worshiped.” So, do the Bible and the Catholic trinity doctrine agree on who God is? Absolutely not!

"We" or "Us," he was speaking of himself _and_ the one he was praying to, which was his Father, the "only true God." (John 17:3) 4. "For the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to survive?” (Rev. 6:17) In the verse above, does it say or even imply that there are *THREE PERSONS* in one God? Answer: NOT EVEN CLOSE!! So, according to most Bibles, God was accompanied by himself, which, of course, makes absolutely no sense. And in any event, there is nothing at John 1:1 that even hints of a three-person deity.
