Can you please elaborate on 'finding a job in your field?' Do we state a specific field only in our application and find a job in that field only? I am in the marketing/advertising industry and my scope of work is not really boxed in, it's versatile. I want to keep my options open for better chances of finding a job.

Well it is field specific. For example if someones field is Advertising and they get this visa and come to Germany. They get a job as a full time store manager. Chances are they will not get their visa extension approved as Managing a store has nothing to do with "Advertising". But if they get a job in the Advertizing department of that store, their visa extension chances get extremely high.

For Marketing/Advertising you're going to need good language skills. I'm in the same field and have been cautioned by multiple people that it's not going to be easy getting a job in this field. I was advised to first apply to jobs from my home country and see the response and then apply for the chancenkarte.

I got the chancenkarte visa, and he is correct, it is not worth the hassle because they require at least B1 level in German. if you dont have that then there is no point getting this visa. You'll just be wasting a lot of money, learn the language first, it will take 7-8 months to get to B1 if you do it regularly, then apply. Your chances will improve significantly.

The main point of this Chancenkarte is that you come to Germany and apply from here. As most companies do not want to get into the hassle of waiting for Employees to Get a visa and come to Germany in 4-5 months. You also increase your chances of Getting a job offer if you are already IN Germany.

getting visa is easy part , you only need A1 level of german to get the visa but you will face issue during job search where your chances will be high if you will at least have the B1 level proficiency ,

I think for a single person, a 20hr/week job at minimum wage would be sufficient to survive in mid to small city. In larger cities the rent might be high but so would the wages.

Well it depends on which field do you have a degree or certification in. Law is a regulated profession so you would need excellent German language as well as additional certifications in Germany to practice law. For bus/truck driving you may need a certificate/ diploma to get a visa.

No that’s not completely true, if you get a full time job that pays you an average income of more than 50k Euros per year, you have a chance to get blue card / work permit irrespective of your qualifications. Convince them that you’re capable, and they’ll give you visa. Be positive!

You can work as a Policeman but you will need to get your Algerian degree recognized in Germany. For that you would need to fulfill additional criteria which varies depending on which Federal State you come to.

Then unfortunately you wont be able to convert it into a Work visa. One possible solution could be to get an admission in a culinary school to get a certification as a chef if you are really interested in this field. This may help you convert your opportunity card to a Work permit. That said you will need to confirm this with your local ausländerbehörde as each district has its own acceptance criteria.

Well it depends on how you apply. For example if you apply based on your Education then you can only work in fields related to Banking, Insurance Finance etc. But if you apply based on your experience then you may be able to work in the Restaurant field. Getting a visa based on your Experience may not be possible as you might be asked to provide certain certificates like a course on Project Management or a Diploma as a chef etc

Unfortunately I am not aware of the German Embassy Visa portals. One thing I know for sure is that you definitely DO NOT need a consultat to apply. You can do it on your own but whther appointments are available or not , I do not know.

Hi Ahsan, my only concern (in terms of requirements) is that I don't have that blocked account but I have declaration of commitment as well as accomodation from my sister who works there. What are the odds that I will get the visa.

Well if she has the official documents (verpflichtungserklärung), then you do not need a blocked account for the visa

Yes, you do. And one of the requirements is German B2 level. I don't know about other options in the dental field.

Yes as a dentist you will need to pass the License exam. You may be able to work as a Dental Assistant while you give the exam. But even then you would need language competence

You will have to find a job in your field i.e. your previous education and experience to get a visa extension. Getting any full time job will not help you in visa extension.
