Generally speaking, you make good points. My take is this: if there is truth about DiVo being unhappy about his new role, then he was being short-sighted. It’s a long season. The person who was going to lose MAJOR minutes was going to be Deuce. I think the Knicks valued Deuce more than DiVo. Deuce is younger, less expensive and is a better on-ball defender. I think DiVo was a better help defender. Another thing to consider: DiVo probably wanted to maximize his potential for a better contract by playing major minutes. DiVo had a season to remember, but if you’re asking me to choose between DiVo and Mikal, that’s an easy decision. I believe Hart is better off the bench, but I might be in the minority on that one. As for the KAT v Randle issue, it’s not about which is the better player more than which player mixes better with Brunson. Randle was not giving a home town discount - he kinda did that already. How healthy is that shoulder exactly? That’s a factor. I’ll admit I’m sad we won’t get a chance to see what he could have accomplished with this roster. He deserved that, imo. Believe it or not, KAT had his best rebounding years while playing for Thibs. You have to hope that both those individuals are wiser now. Until further notice, I have faith in Rose. Let’s Go Knicks!!

That point about KAT mixing well with Brunson is spot on. Absolutely spot on. And yep, another good point about KAT’s best rebounding year coming under Thibs. Hes gonna get him right here in NYK. This should be a fun season

I understand Divos concerns he a player that wants to play after an upbeat season. It takes a certain type of player to step back after a great year

I think KAT is a little soft compared to Mitch and Isaiah last year. Mitch and Isaiash were both stout defensively but had no offense. KAT does give the Knicks a differetnt dimension to the offense. In close games you would cringe when Mitch or Isaiah miss those last mins free throws but with KAT hes close to a 90% free throw shooter. I think overall it is a little bit of a trade off, we might be weaker on the defensive side of the ball but hopefully our wings can mitigate that bit. If possible we might still need to bring in another defensive big.

Hmm we have defensive big his name is Mitchell Robinson.

Kat reunited with Thibs. Kat wasn't a fan or supporter of Thibs when he was in Minnesota.. Let's see how this plays out.

Really he wasnt a fan of him. Yet his PPG was at the highest when he was with him....

Hopefully he buys in now. Good thing is he’s leaving a team that had a defense first culture and he’s coming to a team that has just that.
@ericvaughn6113Ай бұрын
If that’s the starting lineup they would get cooked. Too small.
@TheRealTySmallАй бұрын
Yep. Now they do have options. Jericho simms is growing and he’s got some good footage of being able to switch and guard in space. There’s Mitchell Robinson (if they don’t move him and if… IF he stays healthy). There are some options

The Knicks should have made Devo the starting 2 Mikal 3 Anunobi 4 KAT 5 and Hart 6th man!?
@jon_amiwhataimАй бұрын
Agree, but Wolves wouldn’t give up KAT without Dante included. Deuce will have to step up big to fill part of this gap….
@DJNY316Ай бұрын
You could not start Donte at the 2 and KAT at the 5 because the Knicks would not have KAT unless Donte was included in the trade
@marcusmiller7138Ай бұрын
@@jon_amiwhataim to me this shows how much the knicks believe in Duece. His performance in the playoffs and his improved shooting and decision making must've got the front office like. "U got it kid"
@paulbush3973Ай бұрын
No O.G. Anunobi should be paying small forward at all times. Playing power forward should only be an option when other bigs are injured. He’s honestly slower than most players at that position going up and down the floor, he’s still a defender though

Naz is better than KAT. Donte will be a starter for the Timberwolves by next season with ANT running the piont. Randle will be traded or come off the bench. Knicks have a KAT size hole on D to fix now... I feel bad for Brunson.
